I don't even have the words. Were on their way to play the first leg of the Copa Sudamericana final in Colombia. Sounds like only a few survivors.

It's downright heartbreaking. There are photos of a few players who didn't make the trip in the locker room looking grim.

This is a club who was in the 4th division 4 years ago who made it to the top flight in Brazil and was competing in the final for Copa Sudamericana. Again, heartbreaking.

God that's awful. I swear 2016 is really laying on the frick you in these last few weeks. This has been a horrific year.

Exact same plane flew the Argentina National team a few weeks ago and before that the Venezuelan national team. I can't believe there were survivors.

I think I just heard the news say 6 team survivors but I could be mistaken. That's beyond awful.

The team they are supposed to play in the final has asked CONMEBOL to declare Chapecoense the winnier.

Sad. The Sudamericana always has a cinderella story it feels like. Can't imagine how those 3 players feel.
