4 semesters of college and the best I can do is
Oui. Je parle un peu de francais, mais ce n'est pas bon.
Tu veux aller au cinéma ce soir et se défoncer?

When were you in H-berg? I was there from 85-88.
For OP... I can speak Spanish fairly well. Can speak a little Arabic... And am taking Mandarin. Hope to get reasonably proficient.

I've been to Mexico. I learned how to say cerveza and put up however many fingers equal to the number of beers I needed.

I am 7% fluent in Italian. Check out the duolingo app.

Tengo tres años de clases españolas, y viví en un rancho por diez años con un mexicano. No estoy cerca de fluir.

Mandarin. I think proficient is a better term than fluent, because slang still goes over my head.
But took about 3 years to achieve business proficiency.

I'm fluent in Spanish thanks to the LSU Spanish Dept and studying abroad in Spain.
I also am conversational in Portuguese having casually studied it on my own. I wish LSU would bring back Portuguese and push more students to study abroad.

I was fluent in French out of high school. Stayed in France for nearly a month after graduation. Was great. Now, not so much unless I'm drinking. Weird.

I took a few years of Japanese. I still know enough to make small talk and general greetings.
