Any of the other coaches on staff were name IC, LSU would still be 5-2.

The five wins came against teams that could not stop the LSU running game. The two losses came against teams that could. So even BDP could have called a running play. What makes O qualified?

Not true. Even though Arky sucked, LSU could have collapsed against them as in previous years. LSU thoroughly kicked their arse on the road. I'm not happy about the recent events, but O did a great job motivating his team after the Bama loss. I don't know if others on staff would have done so.

The Alabama game was a dud, but LSU ran for over 200 against the Gators, and that was with Fournette injured. It's not O's fault when two players commit 3 fumbles and lose 2. LSU should have won that game. It just didn't happen.

Still criticize him for the loss but LSU had 23 first downs and over 420 yards of offense against the Gators, which is not even close to the offensive ineptitude we saw against Alabama.

I've said this all along

Any avg coach would have won the same games

We won the games we should against a very down sec schedule and one of our most talented teams

O caught a ton of luck

I hated that we even put ourselves in that position. I know it sounds crazy but I would have made the WR coach interim... anyone but Aranda or O just to keep them from being offended if not offered the job.

uh, you're a little late with this question man. the deal is sealed. we now will be able to actually witness if he's qualified or not.

those of us with open minds will. those that already hate the man (or the hire) will show their disapproval over and over and over and over.

That's not true at all. LSU has lost to much shittier Ark and Ole Miss teams following the Bama loss. This team did not implode like they have in the past.

Orgeron is the coach. You can bitch for five years or get over it.

Personally, I'm going to give him a chance.

With Coach O...

Might have gotten past Wisconsin

Would definitely have beaten Auburn.

Exactly what makes him UN-qualified?? Exluding Herman since he was going to texass if they had an opening, who would have been your go to coach? Were you limited to just Jimbo Fisher or is there someone else?

This is true...although Florida was a game where we moved the ball well enough to win.
