not a good sign
Unless Pete had a renaissance that isn't a great sign. He didn't have the energy to work with Saban a decade ago.

I sincerely hope we haven't traded BDP for reverse BDP.

Ed O starting to shape his staffquote:If you have such a low opinion of him, why do you think he can juggle these duties? i don't think he has much else to do he will have little, if any input on offense or defense. the coordingators are going to scheme, create the gameplans, run practices, and run the respective shows on gamedays (which is probably a good thing b/c of who O is) what else is there for him to do?
Naïve, ignorant little boy.

I have no issue with Pete Jenkins being on the LSU staff. Truly making a mountain out of a mole hill if you're getting bent out of shape over keeping pete Jenkins.

Guy LeCompte part of the staff as well

He's a great coach. He just has been all over the radio saying he didn't have the energy to coach in today's college game.

So other highly paid HCs can afford to coach a position (or spend large amounts of time helping coach a position), but Ed O can't?
You mean we hired a second rate coach that can't keep up with top tier NC winning coaches?

You're surprised by the posts of this spoiled little shite? Don't you know that these days when things don't go your way all you have to do is pout, throw a temper tantrum on your computer and you're an internet badass of anonymity. Sad

Well, then they can all sink or swim together. Best buddies? WTF are his BFFs?

All of this nit picking over Coach O's staff reminds me too much of what can be found on the Poli Board. There you can find very similar hate over the "choice" and now the ranters are ripping into his choices for his administration. And I voted against Her Royal Highness, not FOR Trump . I am really curious to see just who the haters will actually like on his staff when it is complete.

Who around here said he couldn't spend a lot of time with DLine? He would still have a dedicated coach for the position though and won't have to be chained down to that one group.
And if O does still contribute to the DLine, then that's less for Pete Jenkins to have to do (since he's apparently so tired)

Because he's already basically been retired. What desire does he have to go through the recruiting
Our HC was unemployed two years ago
No rules anymore

Don't take it from me. Here's what he said earlier this year.

First good move Peveto gone thank God!! Maybe O has learned enough to be successful here.
Firing Peveto is your barometer?
A fricking 12 year old could see that move was needed

he has a "defensive coordinator" too
So according to your logic he should not hire a DB coach or DC because he can do that.
Saban is wasting "a limited number of coaching slots" on guys he doesnt need.
or does that logic only apply to Orgeron?

This is fricking stupid.
Any defense coaching staff would be improved by the addition of Pete Jenkins. It's time for you to give up the attacks on the selection. It is over and done with.
I hope Coach Jenkins is added in some "shadow" capacity, but that is not my decision.

he is still melting and likely will continue until LSU wins something significant.

well his DB coach is a big recruiter. that's typically what that position is used for
jenkins isn't going to recruit

Why didnt our last coach fire him if a 12 year old knew that?
Sorry to be upbeat on a good move that needed to be done.
