Any chance we do the shadow staff thing Bama is doing? Jenkins would be great for that.
As a full time DL coach I agree, its not a good sign.

Because he's already basically been retired. What desire does he have to go through the recruiting and all the other stuff necessary? Also he doesn't look to be in that good of health.

Why is Grimes believed to be staying?

Most defensive players are going to come here due to O and Aranda. Not overly concerned with Jenkins not recruiting for 1 year.

He didn't say he would be DL coach. And even if he is, he will not recruit, someone will recruit in his place via NCAA waiver.

i'm not saying he's not a good teacher of DL technique
i'm saying we have a limited number of coaching slots and can't afford to use one on Jenkins, esp when we have a DL coach in our HC

If O is already a dline coach then having a guy like Jenkins can't hurt.
