Do you think Herman would have accepted 6 million to go to LSU?

He accepted 5 million, with the ability to reach 6 million with incentives in year 5, in a state without income tax, Texas.

Story is he did accept it. Alleva just got butthurt that Herman didn't wanna come for less and fricked the future of this program with his next action.

We'll never know. Because AlleVA had his pride wounded and ran away. Thanks Joe.

If anything we should have put all this effort into Fisher.

Herman is unproven and lost some games he should have won.

The Louisville blowout was just diminished by Kentucky.
Kentucky
Let that sink in.

Absolutely not.

Alleva fricked up by not giving into every one of Jimbo's demands.

LSU was not and should not go into a bidding war with a coach. Herman was going to his dream job in Texas. Texas was willing to pay whatever it took to get him. Texas would have paid him $7 mil if LSU offered $6 mil. Not many options for LSU.

If LSU ponied up 6mil do you think Texas was going to be underbid?

They put $10mil for 10 yrs on the table for Saban...

Probably not, but Joe should have gone one round to find out. After that, we would have known definitively.

THIS!!

I don't think Herman had any intentions of going to LSU nor should LSU pay him 6 million even if he was considering coming.
