With LSU's hiring of Ed Orgeron, the Lane Kiffin-to-LSU buzz is real.
I'm told that as things stand RIGHT NOW, Kiffin expects this to be his last season at UA (contract is up end of February). Also, head coaching opportunities for him aren't what most outsiders would think for a guy who has enjoyed as much success as he has in three seasons at UA, thus making the possibility of reuniting with O in Baton Rouge a very real possibility.
As things stand right now, the expectation is that Steve Sarkisian will take over as OC at Alabama in 2017. Again, that's as of this AM from a source close to the situation

So we'd be getting a guy that nobody else wants.
Awesome.
Awesome.

I don't mean to be a total pessimist, but there's a very real chance Kiffin gets a HC gig and Sark takes the UA offer.
That would mean CEO needs to find an OC and there isn't one ready made for him.

LOL. So Bama wouldn't renew Kiffin? But hire Sarkisian? Aren't they basically the same thing? Didn't Kiffin help bring Sarkisian in to Bama?

Kiffin and Aranda isn't too shabby, yaw.

Wasn't there talk of sabes nearly forcing him out last year?
Posted on 11/26/16 at 1:02 pm to Prominentwon
Yea, he'll likely be named Houston HC

It will be between Kiffin, Applewhite, and Briles. Houston hires one as HC and we choose between the other two.

We just made one HC. Why not make one an OC as well?

Believe it when I see it. Also, what happens when he inevitably leaves?
