Would you be satisfied with a 4-8 1st season?

HCEO will need time to get his system and players in place. I would expect a dramatic drop off until we can retool.

If we finish 4-8, but beat Bama and show progress at the end of the year, would you be satisfied?

They'll be 7-5, 6-6. Aranda will leave. People don't join O to experience tutelage.

Of course. If you think about it if we pay Coach O half of what we would pay Herman, then half the number of wins is equivalent value for the dollar.

He doesn't have a system, his coordinators have a system. We hired a recruiting coordinator to be our head coach.

But no 4-8 is not acceptable unless Aranda leaves. But we will have bigger problems if that's the case.

But the cupboard was bare, no QB's, give him time to recruit.

All excuses that will be heard.

No! Too much talent on this team for a 4 8 season to be acceptable. The ball has been dropped by LSU with this hire. Oregeron is a motivator and an excellent recruiter and will win games. But, if your idea for the future of LSU football to include NC's, then you must hire coaches who have the football intellect to compete with the Saban's and Meyer's and Harbaugh's of college football. The coaching bar has been raised to a height that being just a good college coach won't win NC's. You must have NFL caliber football intellect and ability. To Beat Alabama you must have an OC who is smart enough to coach on an even level with Saban. And I just don't believe Ensminger is that level coach. Four years from now LSU will be searching for another head coach. With Herman going to Texas, he lures Aranda away from LSU. The inability to move the football and score against Alabama will continue. Play calling will be predictable like it was this past game against Alabama. If Oregeron doesn't hire an OC the equivalent Aranda is as the DC, then we will just see more of the same crap we been seeing offensively from LSU. It's not enough in college football anymore to get players to play hard, you must have coaches on the same level as those at Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Florida State..... Hire smart coordinators and let them do their job. This is the 70's and 80's and 90's all over again. If Les would of just hired a damn OC who was competent and could coach with the best in college football today he'd still have the frickin job!!!! Maybe I'm wrong about Ensminger. Maybe he can develop QB's like Ohio State and Alabama can. Maybe he is as good an OC as Kiffin or Herman and just hasn't had the opportunity to fully show his ability. Play calling against Alabama this year was predictable and bland. But, maybe he just needs time to install his own schemes and plays. Maybe, who know's? If he has shown us the best he can do, then LSU might just go 4 and 8 next season. OMG!!!! I'm just sick now. Here we go again, why the hell did Saban have to leave? Why couldn't he have stayed and done at LSU what he has done at Alabama? WHy can't LSU get a coach that caliber and keep him? Just makes no sense. They didn't even search for someone.

Yea sure we will be ecstatic with a losing season. That's why we just hired someone from the current staff, so we could have a couple three years of transition. Dipshit
