Did anyone have a Thanksgiving day Prog/Lib melt from family or friends?

Mine was pretty quiet, none of the people I thought would bring up Trump winning the EV but losing the popular vote happened, it was a really a good day with the family.
I did have a progressive nephew who is a craft beer aficionado who brews beer with his father (my brother)name a beer after me....., called it Uncle Lester's Coffee Stout, he said "the beer you need to slam when Uncle Lester won't get off his political soap box".
I was flattered, humbled and honored to have my progressive nephew think so much of my political rantings he felt compelled to name a beer after me.

We didn't talk politics at all, but I think most of us voted for Trump.

That is pretty cool of you nephew and I'm glad he has a good sense of humor.

My in-law family is all very pro-Trump. Thanksgiving turned into a MAGA rally!! It was awesome! The blessing over the meal even included a prayer for Trump to MAGA.

It was AWESOME!!!

My FIL, who has been a small business owner since he was 30 and still busting his butt at age 73, wore his MAGA hat while carving the turkey. It was glorious.

When we went around the room, and everyone said something they were thankful for, my uncle said he was thankful that Bernie didn't run in the general election.

First Thanksgiving I've had in a very long while without my former in-laws that would vote for a tuna salad sandwich as long as it had a D by it's name. These idiots complain about the red tape they had to go through to get a pool at their Lakeview home and how the road next to their house has been torn up for months by the city. Yet they keep voting for the garbage that runs New Orleans and lets the same nonsense happen over and over again.

Then again, it would have been worth listening to the melt from that group.

Wife's dumb cousin brought it up. He was open to Trump once he found out he was going to be elected, but now with all the racists he is picking for his cabinet, he can't look the other way. I chose not to engage.

Side note, wife's dad showed me what a beta bitch I am, yet again. We went out Black Friday shopping for 3 hours with the wife and kids and by the time we got back he had bought/wired/installed a ceiling fan and light in the guest room we are sleeping in. Alpha mother fricker...

My Trumpkin sister got super pissed when my brothers kid kept telling his cousins, her daughters, to 'just grab them by the pussy.'

Basically everyone in our family works 50+ hours a week and most have advanced degrees. We don't talk politics often but we did make fun of SJWs and the protesters yesterday.

Name one after him. Call it "Hip-Stirred Tears: For when all this winning makes you thirsty. The sweet melt of northwestern origin, 50 years of melt in every bottle".

No but I made sure the most liberal family member left with a "MAGA" bumper sticker and the most conservative left with a "Hillary for America" sticker. I can't wait to see how long it takes them to notice.

Actually the least political Thanksgiving ever. I think many on both sides didn't really like their choices anyway so there are other things more pertinent to talk about.

No problem at all.

I said before you start this is my house and it is my food.

If you don't like being here you know where the door is.

The strangest part at my house was when my gay brother announced he would be sent to an internment camp. We all just looked at him in disbelief. This is a really smart guy. How can they believe this stuff?
