Do it. Be the cool hipster who needs to show everyone how cool and hip he is by not only drinking a beer.... but a CRAFT beer at the table!
"Look at me nieces and nephews, cousins, mom and dad, I no longer sit at the kiddie table. I drink craft beer at the table because I am sophisticated!"

Let me see if I can figure this out:
1) Your grandparents have strong convictions
2) They probably love on you and treat you like a king
3) They're probably very thankful and great people
4) You sit around and complain to others about how they're ridiculous
5) Other family members talk about your drinking problem
6) Guess we have figured out the real loser
7) anything else?

You can go for one day without it.

What are you 16?
Get a flask and make it work.
JHC I've been taking a flask of scotch to every dinner event since my fraternity days.

my father in law is a recovering alcoholic and we're going to their house so usually we dont consume booze
That's not fair. He got to be an alcoholic and drink all the time when he wanted to. Why can't you do the same?

It wasn't until I started dating in college that I realized people in other families drink at all holidays/family gatherings. My grandparents on my mom's side that usually hosts these things don't drink.

So I'm going to my parents house tomorrow with my super religious old school grandparents and there will be no alcohol whatsoever.... anyone else in the same boat ??
Yes.
There is never any alcohol at my family gathering.
Somehow I'm able to survive.

The OP asked a question, there actually wasn't an initial complaint to all those calling him an alcoholic. He didn't say he wouldn't abide by house rules. Same as me being 35 and living with my bf. If I go visit my parents, either we sleep separately or get a hotel. I think their rules are dumb, but I respect them or find an alternative. I can still think their rules are dumb.

My wife's family is like that. I think the family made a bigger deal of it than the grand parents, just because it had always been that way. I brought booze to the first one I was invited to and since then most of the adults have started to drink.

You're a goddamn man. Start acting like one and bring your own liquor to Thanksgiving. If they don't like it tell them to suck your nuts.

Bring your own. Half pint, mix with soft drink.
