Any suggestions on where to live within the beltway? Early 30s not big on the whole bar scene.

Every legitimate reply will tell you to be in their area.

Your best bet is to move close to where you will be working and sign a short term lease. After you learn the area move to the area that you like.

Houston is too big to narrow it down without knowing all of your preferences.

The Heights would be the only place I would move to in Houston.

The Astrodome is looking for someone to lease it. I would consider, but am tied up at the moment. Traffic may be bad on 8 sundays a year, but it is a great value buy imo.

In the loop. Kirby, Montrose, or Washington Avenue.

What's your price range? I have a lot of friends in the burbs that I like to hang out with but I'm single in my early 30s. Energy corridor is a good compromise for me. Lots to do in the area. Not too far from the heights, galleria etc. And I'm not too far from friends. If money is no issue, I'd def move to the Heights though.

Garden oaks, oak forest, and Shady acres are your best bets. Neighborhood bars and restaurants with no frills while also being close to downtown and the galleria. Mostly ranch style older homes and the three story "community" new builds in those areas.

Come on in, the water is fine!

Where will you be working? I work close to NASA so we went with the Pearland area, although League city is nice too.

The best advice was (as previously stated) to shop around close to where you will work. My family had enjoyed it so far.

In-town from where you work, so you're always against traffic.

Between beltway and loop: west of 45, north of 59.

If inside the loop: west of 288, west of 45.

...generally speaking
