The buck stops at the HC. Yeah, Orgeron shouldn't
be calling plays but he should have told Ensminger
to spread out the field when Florida was playing
11 people within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage.

Orgeron looked clueless standing on the sideline while
Ensminger was essentially killing his chance of becoming
LSU permanent HC. It was DUMB. Period.

Their opinion is as valid as yours, this is the problem.

The program will not be on its death bed unless we quit recruiting, or don't recruit well. We can overcome a failed hire of O, if it fails, almost immediately.

Bring in someone who cant recruit and then loses, and we are back where we were 20 years ago.

Not an O supporter here, but having a positive view of O isn't idiotic

Well see what we get instead. I'll remember Chad504boy when you blast the next coach for not doing shite. Just like a recruit, I want someone that wants to be here. I don't want to have to blow up the bank to convince someone to come here. Y'all need to stop acting like O isn't good enough, because the ones that may be better aren't coming here.

I am one of those who consistently maintained that O was a huge asset as a DL coach, motivator and recruiter, he was not qualified to be HC here.
IN fact, I think he never was a serious candidate and that much of this is a tempest in a few local teapots.
However, to be consistent for those of us who couldn't support da Coach O as HC, we should not have expected him to perform at a high level as interim HC.
while Saturday was a workshop in coaching malpractice (especially in the Red Zone on offense)those on my side of the issue need to make sure they do not hold da Coach O to inconsistent standards.

One thing is obvious. There is never pleasing some of you. You call those of us that support Coach O a bunch of O pumpers. Well it's our right to show support for a man that loves LSU, did one hell of a job recruiting for us aND stepped into a bad situation and spurned life into this football team. God forbid he loses to Bama and then Florida. Newsflash as shoes you can't win em all. You are the ones that are the Jumbo pumpers and I'm going to laugh my as off at you when Jumbo says hell no I'm not leaving FSU for LSU. The man has said it numerous times he loves where he is. And who the hell would want to come coach here with you ducking cry babies always never happy. If LSU is favored to win by 42 and only wins by 41 you would bitch. And then most home games our supposedly No1 fan base leaves the stadium at half time....seriously on Natonal TV looking at our stands in the beginning of the 3rd quarter and seeing the stadium half full. Some of you make me sick.

Totally agree ... and so many just have not been able to give facts ....
they want a new coach.. why ?
Where is the guarantee that the new coach will come in and perform ?

It is pure speculation.

Personally, I'd like to see coach O with one spring season to build on....it does not have to be a 2 or 5 year contract
...

I did not get to see the FL game, but I am told that there were MANY dropped passes and wasted opportunities...
some of that falls on the players as well.

Tom Herman... OK his team lost to Navy and SMU...
Coach O lost to Alabama and Florida

Jimbo ....... Has done little since Winston left (3 losses this season)

Please show where this GREATNESS lies.

Good God, the amount of people I have seen with legitimate hatred of the guy is astounding.

People who feel these types of emotions for their sports teams are assholes anyway, and there is no helping them. They have issues with priorities.

So, Da Coach O is qualified to be HC here because fans leave early and are undeserving crybabies?
Or, he's qualified because one of the other fan favorites has problems?

Stop with your smart logic .. forgetting where you are ???

I agree w you I would just him more harshly if he had the team thru last spring practice. Frankly, Ensminger may be the weak link... either in whole or in part.

I haven't seen all that much directed toward him personally, more so toward his supporters.

That said, Saturday was embarrassing, and the head coach is ultimately the person responsible. He let the other team mock LSU's deceased mascot, let his players use social media to taunt the other team before the game, let his players scuffle with the other team (and coaches!) during pre-game, let an injured Fournette play, let the offensive coordinator call horrible, predictable plays, let LSU lose by 6 points to a team that they were favoured against by 14 points (a 20-point swing), and let the opposing coach mock LSU at his press conference in LSU's own stadium.

This is what lost me. He should have taken charge and steered the energy of the team differently. Instead, he let them talk shite all week and allowed the pre-game idiocy to go on which gave Florida the edge. The team lost focus on the game and thought that they had already won which caused them to make tons of mistakes.

Now, the offensive plan and playcalling went to shite after the Guice fumble, so that is also bad, but I can get over that due to a new o-coordinator to be coming in, but I cannot get over the complete failure to control the team. They fell right into FL's trap to worry more about the shite talking and not the game.

I have jumped off of the O head coach wagon, although I want him to stay as the D-Line and Recruiting coach. He is too good to not keep in that aspect, but is just in over his head at the CEO position.

You wont have to. Orgeron isnt the lsu head coach. Ed orgeron has never ran a successful offense, defense, or program but yeah lets let him have one of the hardest jobs in cfb because he sounds like us.

The team was up they came out and played with too much emotion IMO. The were not playing smart, which is on the head coach to get them to do. They were not flat.

Coach O did a great job stabilizing the Miles mess but IMO Kiffin is next head coach with Aranda, Coach O and Ensminger (all with raises) staying. Coach O & Kiffin have a good relationship and believe Coach O will support this. Believe Kiffin's stint with Sabin has helped him mature and is ready to take the next step as HC in SEC.

Maybe.. or maybe not.

I do not judge people on failures of 8-`10 years ago.
..that's what's call experience.
but then, I am probably older than you and seen people learn and advance ... some have become Presidents i.e. Lincoln.

Don't know if it will happen as you say, but there is certainly some logic in your statement.
