Commish should have notified everybody what he was doing so it didn't look shady. Deleting messages on the league board is weak, too. There will always be extra scrutiny on family members playing together, you should be aware of that.

this and need to know when he actually let the commissioner know he accidentally dropped him.
I've accidentally dropped a player before, but i also let the commish know asap

What time did he text? That's all that matters.

This is one of the clearest situations of collusion I've heard of.
This (or something like this) is probably what happened:
1. Dad had Hightower and thought he was basically useless so he decides to drop him for the Denver handcuff. Maybe not the smartest move ever, but considering Hightower had 9 TOTAL POINTS prior to this week, it's not an unreasonable move.
2. Saints game starts, Ingram debacle happens, and Hightower starts to have a good game.
3. Dad either texts son (commish) or son texts Dad about regretting dropping Hightower now that it looks like he has an expanded role in the offense.
4. Dad and son decide to just put Hightower back on Dad's roster and hope no one notices.
5. People notice and they come up with this accident story.
I know the commish has been posting on here, so please tell me how I'm wrong and explain what happened. Show us text screenshots from before the Saints game. Give an actual explanation.
The bottom line is that, yes, people accidentally drop the wrong player sometimes, but when that player then goes off there is going to be a lot of scrutiny. If this wasn't collusion, the commish would have notified the entire league as soon as possible, explained the situation, recognized that it is suspicious timing, and told them of his decision or brought it to a vote. The mere fact that this was done without notifying the rest of the league is a clear indication that the two people knew it was wrong. Hightower should go back on the waiver wire and this league should get a new commissioner for the future.

dude, you're lying.
If you're not, then just produce the text/phone call time line and clear your name.
If you can't make these tough calls like telling your Dad tough shite... then you need to stop being commish.

Honestly if he can't understand why people are skeptical/want proof then he shouldn't be commish
Posted on 11/1/16 at 9:46 am to Mouth
So commish posted the time I looks like the text came out at 12:35 during the game.

Ingram fumbled 5 min into the game
Hightower got his first carry w 7:49 left in the 1Q
The timeline points to shady dealings

Hey commish this is how you post a screenshot. Check out what my league was discussing at 12:31 Sunday...

He said 12:40 was when they finally figured how to put him back on a roster
He said it was "about an hour" from 11:07 to when he was texted from the 50 year old? Is it really his dad?

Screen shot of the actual text exchange was posted on league message page. Mistake was noticed at 12:35...after Hightower was getting starters carries.

It's definitely sketchy, but what do the texts say? It is also possible that he looked at his bench after Hightower started getting carries to see how he was doing and noticed. I think a lot can be determined by the text conversation that was had, to see if the commissioner tried covering something up.
EDIT: Personally I think that the player should live with the "mistake" regardless, since he did it to himself. I do also think it could have been an accident though.

That doesn't matter. You can't differentiate at that point. It's unfair to the league. You just don't know the intentions and it's better to leave it alone .

I agree, as my edit states, I wouldn't allow him to be put back on the roster if I was commissioner. As far as the question of whether it was accidental or not, I could see it being accidental even though I don't think that should have any bearing on the outcome.

Sound to me like the Commish is a vagina unfit for running a league.

12:40 where I live is still pregame

New information definitely looks bad for commish. I think it should be reversed, and commish may need to be removed from his position. Keep us updated.
