quote:i saw today that sumlins buyout, which is around 10 million right now, must be fully paid within 60 days of termination.
Miles must at least attempt to find a new coaching job, a provision in a buyout clause that will pay about $9.6 million over the next six years
way to go aggies. good thinking.

I hope he gets another job, I want to see him fall flat on his face just like at Oky St.

Huh?
Miles did well at OSU. Took over a absolute shite program and definitely rebuilt it and had it headed in the right direction. Even beat OU a couple times, and that's back in the day when OU was perennially unbeatable. Miles got the LSU job for doing at OSU similar to what Saban did at MichSt.
Miles will work if he wants to...Not sure he really wants to though. But I can guarantee that it will be at a better job than Purdue or Vandy.

You are an ugly human being and terrible LSU fan. Les won us a Natty and kept us relevant with winning seasons and great recruiting. I wish Les the best but not against LSU!

Miles will not coach in the SEC again unless it's Vandy or Kentucky and that's a big if.
Oh yeah? USC just hired fricking muschamp. Ole Miss hired houston nutt. Both after being fired.
Doesn't mean he will, but never say never.

I can't wait for Les to get another job, screw up another schools football program and be exposed for the fraud he really is.

quote:You might be surprised. I personally question whether or not Les will be succesful with 3* players and low tier defensive coordinators, but make no mistake. Teams will be calling him. Les will have more calls than O at the end of the year (assuming we don't retain O).
the demand is not high for Leslie

We can only hope that is the case...aggies usually not very smart, but I think they are smart enuf not to hire miles...

I'm amazed anybody thinks any big time programs would be interested in miles

. His style is best suited for playing against Big 12 (sic) style teams.
He did very well against the likes of TCU, TTU, Oregon, WVU, etc.
I know Oregon is PAC 12, but they run that same style of up-tempo spread option that is vogue in the Big 12.
I think a Les Miles Baylor team would do very well in the Big 12.
I won't call you dumb, but you don't know what you're talking about. It's a completely different thing to play those teams once or twice a year. Miles won't be getting anywhere near the talent on defense like he has over here, and it doesn't really matter if you have the talent or not because those scores will get away from you most of the time. Couple that with a bullshite Miles offense WITHOUT NFL talent littered throughout, and you see where I'm going with this.
Now maybe if he goes in the SEC East, ACC Coastal, or Big Ten West, he has a shot to be decent, but you're kidding yourself if you don't think ridiculous NFL level talent hide a shite ton of Miles's problems as a coach. Miles is too far gone to adapt to the changing landscape, so he will be limited in the success he can have in any conference or division that uses games as track meets.

Miles, fired at LSU last month, has hired Trace Armstrong
This is all a move by Trace Armstrong to speak with Miles in private about the best way to make LSU pay more for Tom Herman .

mSurely this is sarcasm. Is there any place less (no pun intended) of a fit than Baylor?
Why? Les is a GREAT recruiter in the state of Texas. He's a great family man who would be the perfect kind of person to help rehab their image. He also has a championship on his resume. No other coach looking for a job will have that.
Sure, Baylor has been a spread team the last 7 or 8 years, but they don't necessarily have to be.

Are there any NFL teams interested? Choctaw, gray tiger, and rick daddy gone kill themselves if not
The big question is will these 3 stay on les's payroll with him having to live off of a mesley 133k a month for the next 6 years .

I saw Les at Walmart two weeks ago. The man was laughing, shaking hands, signing autographs and acting as if he didn't have a care in the world.
Oh wait, he doesn't!
