There is not such thing as elite coach. If you can consistently recruit top 5 classes year after year you will be classified as a good coach because you will win a high percentage of games if you don't do it you will never be classified as "elite" as simple as that.

Can we at least let the season play out and let the man do his job before we decide what to do?

Who's gonna recruit Louisiana like Juluke and O
wasn't this the complaint when when had recruiter of the year Larry Porter? and lost him? Frank Wilson? and lost him? Both those guys were recruiters of the year here. Kevin Steele was previously at another school and yes CEO was also before.

I love how this is thrown out like O is trying to run up the score on weaker teams. True, we beat three teams that have less talent, but the offense (running similar plays with similar formations) has set records in every game. We have played plenty of teams over the past 10 years that were inferior (and much worse that these three teams) and failed to dominate.
Just an objective view.
This is 100% the right view. We'd go entire seasons with QB that couldn't break the 200yd mark against FCS schools. Etling has thrown bor 200+ in every start so far.

Your entire post is basically saying you don't believe O us the man for the job WITHOUT telling us why. I've yet to see one person give me a solid reason, based on anything other than his record at Ole Miss, as to why he isn't the man for the job. IMO, he is writing his resume right now. It isn't complete, but so far so good.
Conversely, I've seen some kinks in the armor of Herman and Fisher, this season. It hasn't knocked with man out of the race. But it has kicked them down a notch. Enough to give O a solid chance.

Top 10 job, not top 5. LSU baseball is top 5 job and lsu basketball is top 20 job.

He might not be the long term solution, but he might need to keep coaching until the right man comes along. No need to force a hire when we have the full staff that we do.

How can you say that O is not the man for the job if he has brought back excitement, players love him, most fans love him, and the decision hasn't been made yet? I don't want to end up like USC who had O and went after a hot-name coach and have looked like sht since. If O is successful and finishes well, he should be the guy.
He's the interim coach. Nearly any coach on the staff would have provided a shot of adrenaline after taking over for Miles and the staleness that had set in this year.
Additionally, I'm 100% certain that Herman or Jimbo or any number of candidates would have won the last 3 games in a similar fashion. Orgeron will have his chance to put some significant skins on the wall over the next month or so. Let's see where the dust settles.

We as LSU fans always think everyone is just dieing to come coach here. I just don't see them linning up at the door to come here. If one of those guys wanted to come here the doors is open but I don't think that is the case.Herman said his dream job is Texas so do you rEALLY WANT TO HIRE HIM

I really like Coach O and there are a lot of positives he brings when it comes to recruiting, energy, loyalty. The one thing that keeps coming to mind is that he may only be as good as his coordinators on both sides of the ball. Sometimes its tough to keep a top OC and DC as they are looking for the next step. I'm genuinely torn.

Cause our current HC made Freeze look inept last week, unlike Miles could do.

Jesus h Christ
You are struggling to see it? Really?
The last 12 years not a big enough sample size?
fricking Jimbo? Doesn't matter if he is OC, HC or HMFIC. It's still the same Jimbo LSU fans were more than happy to get rid of. The same one that recruited that fricktard Winston. The same one that waited till Saban left to recruit Perrilloux. The same one that had his head turned to mush by his wife.
I think ill stick with CEO.
Lots of you are dreaming if y'all think Sexton is going to make it easy for someone to come in and upset Satan's Apple cart

My whole thing is people have been saying what a shitty coach Les was. He's won riding the coattails of LSU and it's recruiting prowess. Anyone can win here.
So why has that narrative changed? We should be able to plug in anybody and continue to win.

All that matters is Coach O is the right man for the job right now. This year, this week, today, tomorrow, next week, next month.
Beyond that is just wasted energy.

Sean Payton is one of the best coaches? I get what you are saying, but it's pretty fricking obvious that guy fricking sucks. And without brees or Greg Williams, he's nothing.
All those coaches delegate. Coach O is a defensive guy. That really isn't any diff than saban handing over the offense to lane kiffin.
The best coaches do delegate and realize their short comings.

This shite is hilarious. You do realize Winston won a Heisman right? You do realize that Jimbo was the OC when LSU won a national title right? You do Realize he has a national title of his own right? You do realize his average wins per season is 11?
I'm sorry but you just made yourself look fricking retard.
