Lol.....you jimbo lovers are unreal. He lost by 40 points to Houston and 50 points to Louisville, and also lost to another team that south Carolina beat this year. He has superior talent to everyone he plays, yet only flourished when he kept crab legs on the team. Y'all are stupid....I swear.

Can you give us a reason why he is not the right man for the job besides he is not a big name???

Coach O is the best, because our admins are cheap and stupid enough to do what the fans want, instead of what needs to be done, and that's hire the best damn coach willing to come.

This is a turning point in this program. This hire will affect the program for 10+ years. The wrong hire puts on par with USC in the post Carrol age

I remember that hire. Who was it that got passed over in favor of the guy that drinks a lot?

Fisher has by far the most talent in the acc...and it is not close. He won a title with crab legs over a very lucky auburn team...barely.

the way in which you all rationalize O as a coach, yet so quickly disregard actual proven HCs based off 1 or 2 games baffles me to no end

Because he has never shown that he can run a successful program as a full time HC. Which is #1 on the 'most important aspects of a new coach' list.

Pretty simple actually.

well that wasn't directly after Carrol, that was after Kiffin

and the fact that O could not spring that into a coaching position isn't a tad bit worrisome?

coaching circles are small, they all know each other, the fact that O hasn't had people beating down his doors all this time is what worries me the most, like the people that know more than you and I know something

1 or 2 games? LOL. Hardly. Fisher should be absolutely dominating the acc with the talent advantage he has, not skating by nc state and losing by FIFTY points. Can you imagine saban losing by 40 or 50 points? Hell, miles didn't even do that.

As for O, let's see how the season plays out. I think most reasonable fans say that.

He is 42-10 in the conference and has won the conference title 3 times in the last 6 years

That is dominating

We need to be talking about Coach O 2.0. Not the Coach O of Christmas Past. I'm for the argument that a coach is only as good as his assistants and other coaches around him. Coach O 2.0 with Arranda and most likely a better OC (or maybe even En-Slinger he's competing for a job as well) and you've got yourself a good setup.

BTW he isn't having LSU throw the football and tweaking the offense for a PR stunt. He's doing it because it was the most glaring incompetence with Les the Mess.

O 2.0 has always been the fallback plan - BUT - if he pulls off the unlikely and gets to the SEC championship. Boy oh boy. He's earned the job in my book. It'll be raining Boudin Balls for Christmas.

This is the definition of being emotional. The man has won 3 MOTHER frickING GAMES. All he's done is shorten practice and change formations on offense. He's not reinventing the wheel here.

3 games more here than anyone else being mentioned

So wins at LSU trumps wins somewhere else? That makes zero sense whatsoever.

You must mean the pr campaign run by Paul finebaum . The last person he wants at LSU is Herman.

If this current interim coach was the defensive line coach at nearly any other college program in the country, would he even be considered a candidate for the DC job at a top tier college?

Now moron, you tell me who if acting like a 20 year old dumbass with little or no real world experience. Now, go frick yourself dipshit.

So we can ignore his 11 win per season average and just hold those two loses against him? Makes sense. Much better to have a guy with a 10-25 record as full time HC. Smart plan.
