Interesting how they are honoring Bert Jones at the LSU-OM game this Saturday.

After the game, there were signs at the state line put up by Ole Miss people saying Now entering Louisiana, set your watch back one second. The claimed the clock ran out before the last play. About the same you would have been hearing from Auburn if the replay hadn't changed the outcome. Wonder what would have happened if we had replay in 1972.

I was there!!!!
Best memory of the game was of the rebel flags flying in the south EZ
As Fratesi knocked the ball down in the play before the TD. We were devestated for a few seconds then this rumble starts into full throat roar as we realized there was 1 second left.
When the game ended, everyone stood in place yelling for many minutes.
Still get goose bumps thinking about it.

Love the straight on extra point kick. No one knew what a soccer style kick was back then.

I was there. Enjoyed every second, or split second of the end of that game. Ole Miss were cry babies.

Looks like they're gettin' ready to engage in illegal activities of that day. 66 looks like he's undressing 90.

Funny things happen when the black rebel bears show up in Tiger Stadium.

My 3 day old son (my 4th grad) was just home from the hospital and I was listening to the game in the carport to give him and Mom some quiet time. There was so much noise and confusion at the end, it took several minutes before I was sure we won.

Was my first year at LSU and was at this game in the student section. It was absolutely one of those moments that you never forget.

There was a sign on highway 19 going into Mississippi that said "If La is the Sportsman's Paradise why do you come to Mississippi?"
Somebody put a smaller sign under it that said "To take a sh-'."
I cried I laughed so hard.
This was after the 72 game, this thread made me think of this. Sorry for the hijack.

Seeing all the people in the crowd in suit and ties is kind of funny.
