I always wonder if people who say stuff like this would just be miserable no matter what kind of life they lead.

Like if that same chick was single with no kids would she would be moaning about how hard it is to find a decent guy to date.

I think this is the case.

It's sad that for a lot of people being in a relationship/married means they can't do the things they like to do. I think it speaks much more to their choice of partner versus the institution itself.

I had a customer come in with her 2 kids yesterday to my work and tell me adamantly to not get married or have kids.

Should've asked the kids what kind of Mom they had. I bet they would've replied, "She's a fricking bitch" or something similar.

Agreed. I mean unless what you really want to do is have sex with random people....if you choose your spouse/partner wisely you can still do the activities you enjoy doing AND enjoy the benefits of being in a relationship.

My wife has a girlfriend. We stay married for financial reasons and under our open arrangement, we get along better than ever before. I see a 26-year-old woman who's been a great traveling partner, and I recently met a 40-year-old woman down the street from my place in San Francisco who wants companionship but no relationship.

I know I've been lucky in hooking up with these women, the past 2-3 years have been everything I could ask for in terms women and fun.

Well, it's taken a lot of patience, hard work and perseverance. But the moral of my story is that if you have a dream, you're willing to work hard to achieve it and you trust in the good Lord, anything's possible.

Nah, all marriages suck and you never get to have fun or have sex ever again.

When my wife inevitably gets enough of my crap and leaves me, I will never visit a mall, antique store, wedding, wedding shower, baby shower, honey do party, HOA meeting, Bed Bath & Beyond, or kids birthday party ever again.

Damn, baw, you post like you're 50. (And I don't necessarily mean that in a bad way. I'm old as hell and I thought you were up here with me.)

1. Late 20's
2. No
3. N/A
4. Yeah, did the tinder/bumble thing but found it's too much effort to constantly be on phone texting and trying to meet up with several people. People are too easily replaceable this day in age. First thing I dislike about someone it's onto the next one, and it started to bother me when I realized what I was doing. Never satisfied. Just taking a casual approach to it now and letting whatever happen happen.
5. When I'm not working I like to travel, drink, go out, workout, try new restaurants, football, rec leagues, read. Doesn't mean I couldn't enjoy all these things with the right person, just that they haven't come along.

Been with one girl for a little more than a year now.

Literally whatever I want. I go to concerts all the time (Texas Country is what I enjoy the most). I also play a frick ton of video games. Football games, bachelor parties, drugs. There is no end to the things I can/will do because there is no person I have to check with before I do them.

I love not being married because I can literally spend my money on whatever I want without someone bitching to me about it.
