**UPDATE** Missing Man's Facebook Becomes Active - LSU Connection

The girl has been found chained inside of a metal container, still alive. Suspect has been arrested. Boyfriend still missing.
Woman Found
quote:
Sheriff Chuck Wright said Brown was “chained inside the container like a dog.” He said Brown told investigators she had been held in the container for two months. He said she had a chain around her neck. He said she had been fed regularly, but it was "the grace of God that she was found alive."
Wright said Brown told investigators that there might be four bodies on the property, but investigators have not yet confirmed that. Wright said they are investigating the possibility of a serial killer being connected to the case.
Not sure if posted. This story is really odd...
Missing Man's Facebook Comes Alive - LSU Connection
"It seemed odd. The South Carolina couple had just moved together into a house in Anderson, and Brown was excited to show off her new live-in beau to her friend, Lindsey Mayson.
"That's what that Thursday night was supposed to be about," Mayson told the Daily Beast. "It was meeting them and having dinner with them and getting to know each other."
But that never happened. Security footage showed Carver leaving work that day, but he never went to dinner. Neither did Brown.
They were just … gone.
Some thought they could have fled town on an impromptu vacation, as the couple's 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix, sporting an LSU vanity plate on the front bumper and an LSU decal on the back windshield, was missing.
But that didn't quite make sense. The door to their house was unlocked, and their prescription medications were still at home. So were Brown's contact lenses and glasses.
The case became even stranger on Sept. 1, when Charlie Carver's Facebook page announced that he and Kala had gotten married.
A week after that, a message was briefly posted to the account stating the couple was fine, and then deleted, People reported.
Suddenly, the page exploded with content, as if it had been hacked. It would appear to be flooded with spam, but a closer inspection revealed many of the posts to be related to the couple."

Tax/debt evasion. They jumped the country and are off the grid. Congrats to them. I've been dying to flip that switch for years.

couldn't they get the IP where the updates were posted from and track them down that way?

Certainly not an OT poster.

It was mentioned in the article that they'd have to serve a search warrant to Facebook in order to do that. They have not taken those steps.

After reading that article I'm completely freaked out.. The article leads me to believe that they were nabbed and god knows what happened to them.. All the while that somebody is getting their rocks off using Facebook

That's a pretty twisted story.

Seems like they have a crack team of investigators on the case.
quote:
"To do anything like that, we'd have to issue a search warrant to Facebook," Creamer said. "I don't know if we've done that but I'm pretty sure we have not done that. … You'd have to serve [Facebook] with a search warrant to search their records for an IP." A Facebook spokesperson told the website that if they were served with a warrant, they would turn over "recent login/logout IP addresses … and location information.

they took the dog's crate ? Now they're in trouble !

My theory is he killed the girl in a fight and is now trying to plant the idea that she's still alive.

They could have a warrant in ten minutes, especially with the possibility of the couple still being alive and in danger.

He must have used the dog crate to get the body out of the house.
But why not take his contacts?

Man I was in a hurry to shoot out from my mom's house and take a 2 hour drive back to my apartment and I forgot my damn shoes for work.
In the quoted post, I wouldn't be shocked if he forgot his wallet and money in the safe

Probably was in a hurry.

Yeah, that was sort of in jest. I imagine someone that's in a hurry to rid themselves of a corpse isn't all that worried about their contact lenses, or much of anything really other than getting rid of the body.
