Mike VI was a unique, beautiful and powerful Tiger. His service as our school mascot was so loved that he motivated us all to fund any needs our future Tiger mascot needs. RIP Mike!!!

Just cried my eyes out. Mike, I was at LSU when you came to us in 2007 and I've always felt the connection to LSU through you all these years since I've left. You were an amazing cat that brought a lot of love and laughs to a lot of people and I can't thank you enough. I'm glad you're finally at peace. Love you buddy!

I'm shedding tears. I kind of feel bad as a person that THIS is what brings me to tears, when humanitarian things do not.

frick this blows. I think I'm more upset about Mike passing than some of my extended relatives, really.
Mike came in with me right before my freshman year at LSU, and I walked by his habitat every day on the way to my car.
Like others have said, he was very active and always moved around a good bit.
Probably the funniest story I have about him is when the foreign students would come up and try to scare him...he would roar extremely loud and they would scream and scurry like cockroaches
He liked to show off.

Upon hearing this- even though it was expected- I cried like a baby.

One of my favorites that I took of him last February. It's was pretty cool to watch him that day. It was a nice day, so he stayed active for almost an hour. Just pacing around his habitat and catching some sun out in the open.
