The short answer is no.
There are several complications to this potential lawsuit.
At the present time the only LSU fans that could claim a loss would be those who didn't receive a full refund from the cancellation of travel arrangements. Even then, those were made specifically for a sporting event and there are most likely laws on the books that protect institutions from such suits (like how airlines are almost completely held harmless when they cancel your flight).
The second big problem you run into is the loss of revenue from the loss of the LSU home game. There again, this is centered around a sporting event and there are probably laws that prevent such suit. Be that as it may, the only people who could claim a loss would be those that have businesses and then they could only claim it after the SEC/LSU/UF/SA make an official decision to move the game.
Third, you couldn't sue to have them return the game to Tiger Stadium, you could only sue for financial remuneration. In effect, you could win and the game would still not be played here. And I guarantee that were you to win said suit, the SEC/UF would want to spread the blame to LSU (possibly even SA) and they would have good cause to do so. Do you really want to incur extra cost against LSU?
Lastly, I highly doubt that even if LSU wanted to they could bring suit against the SEC or UF. I'm sure that in the bylaws of the SEC there are restrictions on members suing for such losses and also regulations governing the authority of the SEC to make such decisions irrespective of the member's objections. These would be bylaws that LSU agreed to when joining/forming the conference.
We're basically up the sanitation canal without a means of locomotion.
Did you miss the part when he said that he was drunk posting?

If that is the case, you're a very thorough and articulate drunk poster.

I'm entertained. This is awesome, actually. Because Sankey is currently curled up in the fetal position fearing the shitstorm apocalypse that the LSU fans will bring if he tries to take one of our home games. LOL!

Can we bypass LSU and the SEC office and file a class action if we are forced to play 11/19?
Goddamn, let's do it. I'm sure SlowFlowPro will be glad to represent us.

Okay. How do we prove that we are fans of LSU in this class action suit? I'm gonna be pissed if I find out that a Bama fan got some money by pretending to be an LSU fan.
Said fans must prove this beyond all reasonable doubt by producing Tigerhoney nude pics complete with her return email address.

Dog, no offense, but your fricking retarded.

Wrong. The answer is yes. If the SEC forces LSU to give up a home game causing the season ticket holders to lose a home game without a refund, there would be grounds. the value of tickets, taf fees and parking passes would reach $30M.

So you are saying BR area restaurants & bars (& Riverside Towing ) would not take a major hit if LSU loses a home game. Its not all about the payoff of South Bama, its about revenue of the entire city of BR.
The local businesses have no standing to file a lawsuit
