Can we bypass LSU and the SEC office and file a class action if we are forced to play 11/19?

No more stupid than 1/2 the topics on The Rant right now.

Just imagine if a class action filed by all restaurants, stores, and fans that have already spent money for a home game (not including tickets, parking, etc)

I am sure there are a dozen lawyers in the LA area that wouldn't mind taking this

The only option I see is South Alabama suing for more than their buyout. Suing for losses in exposure, recruiting, and opportunity for their players.

We in turn file those damages against UF for unnecessarily forcing this scenario

First off, I am drunk posting...

Second off, there are more lawyers in the BR/NO area then anywhere in the US (per capitia) besides DC (drunken stat BTW)

Third off, could you imagine the media coverage this would get with one city filing a lawsuit against another city one over a home football game?

What does BR make in tax revenue income for a LSU home game? I put LSU's 6-7 home games a year equal to nearly NO's imcome for Mardi Gras weekend (not the entire Mardi Gras season)

I'm confused. The game was supposed to be played in Gainesville.

If LSU is "forced" to play 11/19 in FL instead of a home game vs South Bama

i guess if you could find enough idiots, you could file a class action. force majeure would most likely apply in a court of law and you would be laughed out out of the courtroom.

I have no idea, but I'm sure that it's more than playing an away game at Florida...like what was supposed to happen last Saturday.

I deal with this on a daily basis and have dealt with this in a contract with a couple business partners.

Only UF could file a "Force Majeure" (act of God or beyond our control). We tried everything to avoid a "force Majeure". UF & SEC office dragged their feet and is trying to make LSU/BR lose income.

Thats my exact reason to file a lawsuit, LSU/BR will lose revenue if forced to play 11/19 in UF
