Jones and Hester both showed up, Vincent had an injury.
Guess a 10-win season and a shot at the school's first Top Ten finish since 1-9-12 is just a pile of shite, huh?

A ton of great songs that weren't played on radio:

Judgement Day

John Corabi for Vince Neil in Motley.
Gary Cherone was a talented guy and great singer. Really bad fit in Van Halen.

When David Lee Roth left, Van Halen was over.

Until Sammy Hagar. Four #1 albums, many hit singles and big sold out tours.
A team that hasn't won a game in nearly two months is now going to win 4 or 5 in a row. Sure.
Balance had some strong work on it. The band was fighting badly at that point and Sammy was on the way out. Can't Stop Loving you was a big Top 40 hit.

Hard to capture the Van Hagar magic of 5150. What an awesome album and great songs.

Diehard Van Halen fans, the ole school ones, will tell you nothing touches the first six albums with Roth. And to an extent they're right. Van Halen was a relentless machine in those early days. Became more Top 40 and pop later. Either way - $$$
