Alleva stood there and smiled while Stankey inserted the Foley catheter.

I'll say it again. UF gambled with a dangerous storm. There really is no excuse for such actions by the Florida administration. A leadership vacuum was created as soon as they started delaying the decision. Neither the SEC nor Alleva stepped up to fill that vacuum & provide just a little common sense and leadership.
Of course UF is able to take control of the narrative again because no one else took control away from them when it was obvious they were being as incompetent as possible for several days.

I don't get why espn is ignoring that
Because it was three hours after the decision was made and Florida decided how the story would be told. The only people that even know he had a press conference are LSU fans and local media.

God, you people are pathetic!
It is a category 5 Hurricane!!!!!
I don't think that the good people of Florida could give a care about a stupid football game. Do any of you remember the 2005 season? I know I didn't even know when LSU playing and we have season tickets. What a complete lack of empathy and respect for your fellow man.

UF is loaded with pussies and I can't wait to see them get slaughtered the rest of the year. No chest.

Oh shut the frick up. They purposely sat on this decision for this very reason. They literally are using a national disaster to their advantage.

Apparently Foley does. So much so that he was willing to use the excuse of a hurricane to get out of a game. Do you not know LSU made multiple offers to get the game out of harms way (at LSU or neutral site).

His press conference was 3 hours later than UFs. Piss poor decision to wait.

They could've canceled it two days ago. The track never changed.

It is barely a cat 4. It's a moot point, though...A cat 4 is devastating, no need to embellish.

Florida was the one that kept saying the game would not be moved and still kickoff at the scheduled time. Hell, the Gator fans on SEC Rant and some of our own fans were saying everything would be fine. Just a little rain.

Tell that to Jeremy Foley for selfishly refusing best-case scenarios to play the game. And then shifting the narrative to make LSU seem like the problem.

This argument is a dead letter considering that Florida was prepared to let the good people of Louisiana fly into the damn thing

Who cares? Win games and let them talk all they want
We win out and Bama wins out (minus a loss to LSU).
6-1 vs. 7-1
Guess who gets the nod?
Now do you see why we care?

There is no reason in this day and age why the SEC doesn't have a procedure in place for such events.
If uncertainty still exists by a Wednesday have a neutral site already in place. Everyone plays by the same rules.
