What position players do you have ahead of him going forward . I would take Trout, Machado and Bryant ahead of him

I'll take Correa over him as well.

Trout is clearly 1, after that I could argue Bryce anywhere from 2-10. Close to ten would be a pretty pessimistic ranking though.

It's a shame if they don't hand him the MVP.

Last year I had him first but he's had a down year. He was amazing in 2015 but outside of that year he has been a good player but not elite.

Strange question to ask at this point in time. Harper's been hurt most of the year and has put up middling (for him) numbers. Not the best year to rank him on.

Fully healthy, you could put him at 1 2 or 3

All above are better than Harper

This place has such a short memory. Late last year and early in the year people forgot how good Trout is, now it's Harper again like a couple of years ago

No, even as Harper had his big year i said Trout was #1.

You can find Corner Outfielders who put up similar numbers, finding Center fielders, who put up the numbers Trout does, and have the defense he has, rare.

It's like when Arod was in his prime. His value at SS made him the easy #1. The next SS was light years behind, when it came to his power, glove, offense.

I dont think 1 epic season is enough to make a solid argument for him over Trout, by any stretch.

Well that's the problem he never is. Also early in the season he was and definitely didnt look like top 3. Id have a hard time putting him top 10.

I would probably have my list like this

Trout
Donaldson
Bryant
Betts
Alltuve
Machado
Arenado
Goldschmidt
Correa
Seager
Lindor
Harper

He was healthy last year and first part of this year. And it was clear he was one of the 2 best players in the game. Trout is the only player that has had a season remotely close to that

Right now, I have him ranked 5th behind Trout, Donaldson, Bryant and Machado. For the future, I still have him ranked #2 behind Trout. The guy put up a 1.109 OPS at age 22. When Harper is right, nobody comes close to matching his hit tool.

Harper just completed his fifth major league season.

His career batting average is .279.

His annual averages are 24 homers, 66 RBI and 113 strikeouts.

Why is there even a discussion about him being one of the best players in MLB?

Because when he was just 22, he put up a 9.5 WAR season with a .330/.460/.649 slash line.
