I just got off the phone with a doc friend. They had to 86 a guys finger last night because he had a hand injury and the ER is equipped to take off rings but titanium is too hard.
Choose wisely I guess.

Can you call him back and ask about Cobalt?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Can someone tell me why it's so unpopular to get normal (white/yellow gold) men's bands these days?
I'm not married, so I haven't experienced this

Another reason why, if you choose to get married, you get a plain gold band like a real red-blooded American. How many pussies on this board get the QALO rings?

If you have a job in manual labor, sure. Only thing I have to worry about is Ring Avulsion.

Being an engineer I knew to get mine loose fitting.

When I got married I got a tat of barbwire on my "wedding finger". Very classy if I say so myself.

Sterling silver is what I got.

That's how they talked my wife into getting mine in beryllium

Absolutely.
I'll add another PSA. WHENEVER you injure your hand. Take the rings off. That should be the first thought. Also guys take yours off once in a while. Just to make sure you still can. It's a lovely thought to put it on at your wedding and leave it on til you die, but? Old age, fatness, arthritis.
Also, for women. DO NOT get wedding bands with diamonds all the way around. Leave a space or two at the bottom of the ring that can be cut. If you get injured or a wasp sting, there isn't a damned thing an ER is gonna have to cut diamonds.

This is why I went with Tungsten.

That's why I got my ring finger tattooed.

but titanium is too hard.
No it's not. Titanium, especially the common 6Al4V alloy, is easy to cut. It's softer than even cheap stainless steel alloys. Tungsten carbide rings are another story, they are very hard and difficult to cut without diamond coated abrasive discs which not all ER's have.
