He'd lose his locker room too as he's not a very likable coach as you saw at Eagles and he was starting to have problems in Oregon his last years there.
If you keep saying it, it could become true....lol.

I look for LSU to try to "Mal Moore" Chip Kelly (refuse to take no for an answer). The length of time Kelly has been in San Fran is irrelevant. His system, with the talent in Louisiana, would be hard to stop.

Is Baton Rouge getting an NFL team?

This is exactly what I want , Chip Kelly is my first option and I go there until he says yes. Chip Kelly is the man for the job and he has had enough time in the NFL like Saban and Spurrier to see its not all its cracked up to be. He is putting up with grown men who do this as a job now and are pre madonnas. Putting up with the Kaepernick situation, the dysfunctional 49er front office and losing as a head coach, I think its time to go back to college. You fly to San Fran and you empty out the pocket book until he says yes

It would be a longer rebuild under Kelly as he would have to rerecruit almost the entire offense to fit his system.
He would turn Brandon Harris into a super star.

At Oregon? They were 24-3 with consecutive top 5 rankings. His last year he did it with a frosh QB who he started grooming for the Heisman. Come do that in BR and you'd be deified.

Saban left Michigan State by mutual consent. He had burned too many bridges with the big money boosters & the university president and openly expressed his dislike with that aspect of being a HC in college. According to critics in Michigan State, he has one life, football; i.e. zero person skills & to be a HC in college you have to schmooze with alumni, fans, boosters. He hated that part of it according to articles written right after he left.
FIFY.

Not sure I'm ready for 62-51 (2012 at USC) or 57-34 (vs Arkansas State) final scores. That would drive me crazy.
I want a high powered offense but I also want some defense too. His offenses were never effective vs SEC schools.

thats because he didn't have SEC caliber offensive line going against SEC defenses and wasn't going to be able to recruit those type players to go out to Oregon, here he would have the players and be able to continue to recruit the players he needs to compete with anyone...

Yeah, I was going to post a Saban analogy and tack on the Dolphins chapter. Saban was really disliked by many of the people he worked with in Baton Rouge and Miami but he had the essential elements of success: a football mind, a football obsession, and a desire to succeed. Do people not remember the call in radio shows where he would be openly disdainful of fans calling in and deride their stupidity? His inability to BS with some of the major donors used to being sucked up to?
If Kelly were to decide he wanted to be a college guy where he could have higher levels of authority and player control LSU (or any other major program in need of a coach) would be really foolish to overlook him.
