60% and trending down. If you were awesome at your job 4 years ago and shite the bed since then, you'd be gone

People holding on to 2006 Hardware still. It's been 10 yrs ago I think Payton will be gone in 2 yrs max.

He's under contract thru 2020 at $8mil a year. They aren't firing him any time soon and eating another $20mil in dead money

Yea but, but he won a super bowl.
Yea, but, but he brought us Brees.

Peyton is not the same coach.
Peyton is bringing back the Aints.
Peyton is bringing bag the bags.

They will keep Payton around at least until they think they have Brees' successor on the roster.

I assume you are talking about Sean Payton and yes he can be defended... The fact is we have had the worst Defense in the NFL the last 3 years running with retreads on the field and running the Defense. With this Offense you only need D that is with the top 20 in the league hell I'd take 25th with the Offensive production. I'd say it is more Loomis than anything. You let him go he will have a HC job in the NFL tomorrow cause he is that good.

Yeah, frick that Superbowl trophy, anyone can get one of those. It's the runner up trophy in the NFC Championship game that we are holding onto.

I really don't think our defense would be that bad this year if we had our starters and not 3rd stringers. However, Payton seems to have lost it and it is hard to admit. This is feeling eerily similar to Miles at LSU.

Miles did some great things for LSU but the writing was on the wall for years. It's hard for front offices and fans to let go of past glory, but it does end at some point. Ditka was/is a God in Chicago. He won one Super Bowl and then lost his team.

Best example? John Fox. He brought the Broncos to the Super Bowl and playoffs and still got fired. Fox left the Broncos with the highest regular season win percentage in team history. ( LINK

Then Elway hires Kubiak, new energy and attitude comes in and look at the results. I'm not saying it's always that easy, but it's a step in the right direction.
