One of the greatest games I've ever been too. Byrd was so fricking clutch every single game that year.

Yea, I said that last year. It seems after the loss at the NC game he seemed to pull it back and just played conservative.
Not sure WHY, his ballsy play calling was what I LOVED about him as a coach!
Players love this, good or bad, work or not, they rally around their coach knowing he will go all out and trust their team to make it work.
I often wonder if he took offense to being called the "Mad Hatter"?

Something else I noticed, went back and just watched the video and guess what....
The stands were full, the crowd was LOUD and it was Tiger Stadium!
Not sure what is going on these last couple years but we have NOT seen this kind of energy for awhile.
Pretty sad....

it was a 3 step drop to a go route
the OL would have had to let someone get a free pass to Flynn and then I still don't know if they would have had enough time
the INT was the much larger possible negative outcome

No I remember the play and saying hell yes and then saying WTF but happy it was complete. Could not remember if we had a timeout, especially with Les's wonderful clock management.

It was perfect end of game clock management, we don't like to talk about this play here.
Took a shot into the end zone, 3 ticks left for a FG try.

That season was gutsy. Same year we did the Fake FG against SC, went for it on 4th down 394 times against Florida, and played Double OT against Ark and UK, what a year!

That game was the reason I joined this board. I created my account for the sole purpose of finding tickets on the ticket exchange, which worked as I found a couple for face value.
I was in the west upper. We all thought Miles was running down the clock to call a TO and send the FG unit on, then suddenly Flynn was back to throw. I also remember mass confusion as it took so long for the crowd to react to the catch.

ok, luck, but still it was perfect. Waiting and watching for the snap before the 7sec mark was quite nerve racking.
