being irrelevant in the conference for 4 years is not being a "great coach". Lets hope this season isn't number 5.

I'm right there with you brother!

Let the season play out. No reason to create a negative atmosphere to surround our team when we may potentially be able to compete for the SEC title and beyond.

If the season is a disappointment, then let the criticism and negativity flow, but right now our fans need to fan up and get behind our team. They feed off of our emotions, and if they don't feel like they have our full support it will show up on the field.

Everyone thinks it's Miles stubbornness to evolve and change that's holding him and the team back. Has anyone considered the idea that he's just not capable of coaching beyond what he knows he knows? Does anyone believe, especially after listening to many of his interviews that he's not even as competent as he was 4-5 years ago? I know people can have things happen to them concerning their mental and physical health that effects their work and thought process performance. Les has always been a gaf machine and hard to listen to in interviews, but he just seems so out of touch and unfocused, much more than he used to be.

I hope they figure out a way to flip this page to the next chapter sooner than later, but I hope they could maybe get it done in some dignified way for the schools sake, the teams sake, as well as for Les's sake. He will never quit or willingly retire, but if they get him to do that himself sooner than later, that would ideal for everyone and everyone's image and perception going forward. I know it goes without saying, but the excitement for the team that follows will be huge going forward, and team desperately needs that now, not next year.

Um, no. He needs to retire regardless of what happens this season.

If Miles could turn the team around...I'm behind him 100%. He's a great recruiter and has a winning record better than most. Below par coach considering the talent he gets. Not so sure he's capable of doing it. The biggest problem I see is getting a good coach that can bring in the talent he does to replace him. With that said...careful what you wish for.

You really think we win 10-11? Wow. We won't escape November with a winning record for that month. We could have 4 losses to our biggest opponents.

I am on TD almost daily because I love LSU

Football is the main pull...

so I support LSU 365 ...

Miles, is Miles...

I am trying very hard to enjoy the team on offense

1st half last week was much "improved"

2nd half "not what we wanted"

The only way miles survives this season is if he wins the SEC and/or goes 10-2 or better. Less than that he's toast

With the talent on this team, one loss is too much and unacceptable.

Miles has frustrated many of us over the years but overall he's been a great coach. Last several years we've been on a down slide. In the sec that's not acceptable. I get it. But he deserves a chance to turn it around. The players deserve us to get behind them and the coaches. We've got another lights out recruiting class this time with a super talented qb who will fit in a pro system to follow etling. Cameron went and got danny because he knew Harris may not be the answer. Etling will allow cam to open things up and if the offense keeps Gettn better and the D turns out to be elite like I think we may still have a damn good season. If we lose 3-4 maybe it's time to retire but if we win 10-11 he may have some left in the tank. Either way we seem to have qb answer for this year and next. I'm gonna enjoy college football and hope our team wins a lot. This may be a year where a lot of teams have a few losses so we might survive a week 1 loss. We have the talent to best anyone in the sec.
Geez, haven't I heard this before?? Oh yeah, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and next year someone will post the same thing.

Your accepting of mediocrity is the same problem the AD has.

LSU pays top dollar. We should expect top dollar results. OC is the highest paid in college. Tell me where we rank over last 6 years. Results should matter at LSU especially in football.

We lost three in 2012, but it wasn't time.

We lost three in 2013, but it wasn't time.

We lost five in 2014, but it wasn't time.

We lost three in 2015, but it wasn't time.

What's so magical about 2016?
