Won't be out with the bow until late this afternoon. I haven't picked up hardly any deer on cam in the mornings.

How much water out there?

Went to load the pirogue and found out it had a big arse hole in the bottom. Power line crew cleared a power line and dropped a branch thru it.

Grassed blinds-Grand Chenier Wednesday and Thursday
Saw no teal, only a few Mottled Ducks
90 degrees, no wind, some mosquitos, too much water
Not expecting much
Opted to wait on results and get ready for the game.

based on the reports I grabbed the rod instead of the shotgun...
Henderson...heard a few shots...out of all the sweat streaked faces I spoke with only one boat got one...
caught 12 bass and off the water by 10....just can't bring myself to duck hunt in 100 degree weather...

but I was looking...

Not bad for NEA. Usually way to dry to hold em.

nothing in Dularge saturday morning, but we hardly ever do well out there for teal season. Last year we managed 15 on opening day but it was 65 degrees that morning when we woke up. I made the mistake of only bringing flip flops and had to stand in ankle deep water all morning because the water was so high in the marsh. Wasn't expecting to see anything at all to be honest but we saw around 40 to 50 total flying around, at least that's a plus. Should have brought a rod in the blind because the redfish were slapping at the decoys all morning
