interim coach or wait till season is over?

which is better? I don't want LSU to lose any games but feel it's inevitable that we lose at least 2 more, and I fear losing 4 more, so, yes, I think we make a coaching move some time.
so, does it do us any good to make one of our assistants an interim coach? seems like we'd have to get rid of Cameron mid-season if we got rid of les mid-season. does that set us up better than just waiting till the end of the season? we could have everything arranged until miles buyout goes down if we wait.
i'm in no hurry if it isn't best for the program going forward.
of course, the money folks may be ready to move ASAP.

It just depends on if the season turns around from this point forward. If we lose to JS or MS he gone.
ETA: Anything less than a conference championship will result in LSU bringing in a quality coach who has the want to win.

Go and get Herman. If no Herman then get Herman Part Deaux which is Sterlin Gilbert

Once LSU has gotten to 3 losses on the year, Les needs to be let go that moment. PERIOD. If he loses to Jackson State or starts the season 1-2, then he needs to go the moment 1-2 happens.

If we lose to Auburn and Florida he needs to go

No, it does not. The only way an interim would happen is because of the pressure a JSU loss would put on the administration. Otherwise Miles will coach through the end of the season. It's just kind of how it works.

We've played one game. Let that sink in.

If LSU is sitting at 3-3 at the halfway point and the offense still looks putrid, LSU has no choice but to fire Les. You can't leave a lame duck coach in place, and Les has not earned the right to finish out the year given last season. The sooner they turn the page, the sooner the next chapter can start especially with recruiting.

I'm in love with da Coach O

If he gets 2 or 3 losses before the toughest part of our schedule, they've got to let him go.

Doubt it. His buyout will be millions less after December 31. My guess is they wait until January 1 to officially fire Les. They would, I would hope, already have the successor lined up long before that (but we've seen that movie before).

No way this administration can pull off a interim coach. They couldn't even pull off a clean firing last year. This administration is a cluster......

Interim aranda and see how he and we respond.

wait till the season is over...it is pretty much a given that we will be getting a new coach next year, so they can be working on that now. no benefit to firing a bunch of coaches that we have to pay anyway...

Dude, Wisconsin will play for National championship and barely beat us, I think we keep Les a few more years.

Nothing wrong with an interim right away. Puts us in good position at the end of the year. Sure as hell could not do any worse than what we are headed for now. It's silly to think Herman is leaving his team during the season, if at all.

Agreed - But that one game, combined with Miles' history, showed plenty enough.
