I'm not gonna complain. I clean the SO's car 2x a month. In return she, becomes a fan of road head after 2 glasses of wine on date night.

Seems like a fair trade as date night is usually 2x a week

when you stop for gas it's a perfect opportunity to take all of your car trash and throw it away.

This is what we do if there's any trash in the car when we stop.

Either that or empty it out every time we get home. Best way to keep one clean is to not let it get out of hand. Of course that goes for pretty much anything.

I feel sorry for my friend's who wives trash their car. Most of the time their houses are similar.

My wife generally has a bit of clutter in the front passenger seat (ipod, hair clips, gloves), but other than that she washes it and occassionally waxes it. I change the oil, plugs, etc.

I vacuum mine at least weekly and get any food stuff out daily ... I see about gassing it up ... I see about oil changes and maintenance.

I don't wash or wax it. He does.

My wife washes and cleans hers on a regular basis. She also keeps maintenance has oil changed, tires rotated etc... She can change a tire too and it never is dirty on inside. Nor are our kids.

That's what I do. And it is for that reason that I cannot stand pumps that do not let you set the nozzle and walk away. Why would they take the clicker off and make me sit there and hold it down?

Sorry, have to disagree with you guys here. Her husband is pretty damn inconsiderate if he actually does this.

I bought my wife a brand new car at the end of 2015. Of course I assumed this nice new car would be kept immaculate because it was the new car she really wanted...

Nope! From day 1, coffee cups pile up until there is no more room to put the cups. She will empty the trash only to create more room to pile more shite up

If you're skilled you can wedge the gas cap just so where it will pump with or without the clicker.

My wife treats our vehicles like crap. She'll take my truck for a day, then it takes me 2 days to get it clean again.Looks like we went on a long road trip.

I swear, is this a daddy issue thing? I guess all of the fathers in America take care of their daughter's rides and that responsibility falls on the husband once he walks them down the aisle. I'm not talking about service or maintenance, I'm talking about not letting a whole cup of day old coffee drain into the seat...just general cleaning.

If I didn't clean my wife's car I swear she would ride around in filth. Is this the norm?

My wife cleans her Tahoe every now and then...but in general it's a pirate ship half the time because of running kids...running to work and so on

the vehicle gets worked...life is busy...taking time to clean the car is not on my wives priority list

with that said, she would NOT leave food or spilled coffee

When we go on trips, I have the Tahoe cleaned before we go

I can't drive a dirt vehicle...so I have it cleaned at the car wash...only to go a road trip and it get dirty LOL.

With my GMC truck I have a VIP car wash pass, so my truck stays pretty clean all month...

as far as Maintenance... I remind my wife to schedule it, and she takes care of it from there

I travel every day for work, to the tune of 40-50k miles/year. My company pays for my car washes, so I go through the wash about once/week. I take 5 minutes to take out any extra little trash that didn't make its way out, I vaccum crumbs out of my chair and the cup holders since I usually find myself eating lunch in there everyday. My car is basically my office, so it doesn't stay perfectly clean as I would like, but I also do my best to keep it tidy. My husband is the one who never takes his car to be washed. It annoys me. I have to take it through the wash and have it detailed when I'm driving it.
