I've said this all along. The Auburn game will be brutal. It's fitting that he's fired right after that game, since so many of us remember the 2006 game at Auburn. That day was typical Les, ground and pound - right into a brick wall, and when that doesn't work......do it again.

You're clearly missing the point. My statement is a criticism of the administration on their own merits

Your indictment of the administration is unwarranted. Miles put himself in this situation by being a liar and a cheat. The administration is under no obligation to treat miles a certain way.

Ah. I guess I see that as more of a consequence of him not knowing any better rather than an outright lie
oh. It was a lie.

As much as we give him shite, Miles isn't REALLY retarded. He knew what he was doing. I think that's why he closed practices.

When the Auburn pass defense was hilariously bad and we had Russell.

It was one of these most painfully stupid game plans in the history of coaching

And the Tigers should have won a MNC in 2006.

Les just wants a "yes man" at OC that will run his 1970s offense. Probably why he hired his buddy Cam as coach
Closer to the 1940s or 50s offense. By the 70s the Veer, QB option and the forward pass were commonplace.

Your overall point is generally true.

There isn't a coach in Miles's stratosphere that has been fired midseason.

We wont lose to AU. I think we do lose to UF, Bama, Ole Miss and Texas A$M to get a 5 loss season. That is when it will go down IMO.

auburn's d line, when healthy, is arguably the best in the sec. you don't think their front 7 will be able to shut down our highly sophisticated gameplan and "vertical" passing game?

Do you care to offer any examples of a coach with Miles's tenure at a program of LSU's stature being fired mid-season? My opinion on the strategy is irrelevant - it simply doesn't happen.

It's a shame that Les didn't can Cam after last season. Could have brought in a young gun that knows modern offenses and saved his arse. Damn stubbornness will be his demise.

You really think this is the problem?

You don't really know do you?

We lost to Auburn too?
We are losing games faster than we are playing them.

Heard something similar yesterday. Said auburn game will determine his fate. He will be asked to resign and O will takeover.

Brando is not in tuned with LSU football and has not been for a long time. I don't think he has very much credibility as a source on LSU football.

That's because we lost in the off-season which prepares the team for victory...

That didn't happen, so it's likely to be an ugly season as the first game demonstrated...

On the road...AU coach coaching for his job as well..

I don't see victory there..do you?

One has to open the eyes...and think realistically what will likely happen, not what you hope to happen.

We have no scheme to counter or implement change...

the boat was missed with Miles waving his middle finger

I really don't understand Les at all. How can Les not look at what Bama does on offense and not try to find an OC that runs something similar? Bama is a run first offense except they run out of different sets and formations.

Both Les and Gerry DiNardo are so damn similar when it comes to being set in their ways and hard headed.

How are you guys so sure. We had 2 great recruiting classes and on track to have another top 5 class. With Brennan coming in and the way these freshman QB at Texas and Fla. St. performed I say we start him immediately if he shows up and wins the QB battle... We have a new dynamic offense and Williams, Guice and Brossette handle RB and all our young WR talent to go along with a bunch of great DL, LB, and DB we could have a great team next year. Look, with the right coach we could re-load like Bama every year, not shite green like we do with Miles where he thinks he needs 3-4 years to get just a decent year from a QB. Enough with that shite!!!
