As with many threads like this, let us know some more info.
What area of town do you want to be in. What kind of food. Are you on a budget? Are you worried about if you can get by with just wearing your dressy jeans or do you want to look nicer?

There are about 200 places better than the ones you have listed, so I'm thinking we can steer you correctly.

Did you try the IHOP yet? It's in metairie but based on the places mentioned above it may be worth the $13 Uber fair.

As notiger said, we need more information. What kind of food do you and your wife enjoy when you're going to a restaurant for a special occasion? I'm assuming you want to try something different from the 3 restaurants you mention.

Yeah buddy nothing but the best.. We went to thoes places before a Saints game so no need to be a dick...
For the ones actually giving legit answers we are staying at the Westin, so somewhere around that. She like Italian or steak, don't really have a budget. Looking for some good food

If you want steak, La Boca.
For Italian, Domenica at the Roosevelt Hotel.

Steak? La Boca, Dickie Brenans, Doris Metropolian, and Galatoires 33 Steak. There's not really any Italian I'd recommend over the steak places.

Another interesting option is Latitude 29. It's a tiki gastropub that's unique and has good food and drinks. It's also only 2-3 blocks from the Westin.

ETA: For Italian I forgot about Irenes and blanked on Domenica.

Hey, there's actually one on Canal Street now, probably walking distance from wherever he may be staying.

There's definitely a need to be a dick listing those places. They are punchlines. Of course you're going to get sarcastic answers. You've got to expect that listing three of the most lulz worthy places in New Orleans.

Steak: La Boca, Doris Metro

Italian: Domenica, Mariza

Or kill both birds with one stone at Mr John's.
