A Baton Rouge man kicked in an apartment door and pointed a gun at the people inside, who jumped on the man and held him down until deputies arrived, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office reported.

Mason Olinde, 28, is accused of yelling and banging on the door of a Cal Road apartment early Saturday, prompting a man inside to open the door to see what Olinde wanted, a Sheriff's Office report says. When Olinde told the man to "step outside so that he could 'kick his arse,'" the man shut the door and called 911, the report says.

Olinde then shattered a glass storm door, kicked in a wooden door and went in the apartment, where he started screaming at a group of friends who'd gathered there.

One man stood up and tackled Olinde, and a second man jumped in, the report says. Olinde pulled out a gun and pointed it at the two, but one man was able to knock it from his hand. When a long Bowie-type knife fell out of Olinde's pocket during the scuffle, a man grabbed it and threw it aside, the report says.
