Yeah, just like Tyrann Mathieu who tore both his left ACL and LCL in 2013 and his right ACL in 2015. Arizona should have consulted you and cut him. Stupid NFL team made him the highest paid safety in the NFL this off-season. What idiots, huh?
Right he's only a probowl safety.. considered one of the best at the highest level right?

Wow. I know medicine these years is great, but I wonder is he now thinks about redshirting or if he will push himself to comeback too soon.
Posted on 8/26/16 at 10:42 pm to LuzianaFootball
He was probably going to redshirt anyway. Now, LSU can just bring him along slower, and he can use his first year to build his strength and football knowledge. His second year, it will be a great battle between him, Myles and Scott to replace BH.

Exactly. This won't affect his LSU career at all if the scholly remains. He will be running in nine months, before fall camp starts. And he was redshirting next year anyway.

Best of luck to the young man , all there's left to do is work hard and come back stronger.

He was featured in the football preview for the Bayou Region that was published just before the jamboree when he was injured. Dude has been through a lot of stuff recently. All the best to him on his recovery.

Narcisse said he is happy with his decision to play for Coach Les Miles and the Tigers. He will graduate from St. James in December and will enroll at LSU for the spring semester.
“I'm done with recruiting,” Narcisse said. “I try not to make it so much about myself. I just went in and got it out the way so I can just focus on my team and getting better every day.”
Narcisse said playing college football right up the road in Baton Rouge has always been a dream.
“Some things are bigger than football. It's a great feeling knowing my family can come watch me play,” he said. “I'll be close to my family and get to come home whenever I like.”

Narcisse also dealt with personal adversity when his father, Lowell Sr., died earlier this year. He wants to dedicate the rest of his career to his father's memory.
“I always knew what he wanted from me,” Narcisse said. “He always wanted me to do my best. I want to make him proud. I'm going to go out there and play my best just for him whenever I step out on the field.”

ACL tears are not as bad a thing as they use to be. Modern surgeries put them back together probably stronger than before the injury.
For some reason they say if you have an acl surgery you are likely to have a tear the other one. From this incident and others I know this seems to be true.
Biggest problem with an acl tear is the time missed... not the long term effects, which are minimal.
It sucks for him to miss his senior season but it should impair him in college.

ACL repair has come a long way. He essentially has two years to get right and it's not as critical for a QB as a CB or RB

No doubt they will honor his scholly. Heard they already reached out to him and told him not to worry.

I am sure glad that when I played ACL was not invented yet!

I saw him working out with a QB coach on & off this summer in a nearby BREC park. Heat of the day, non stop reps, running, working on his footwork, for a good 2 hrs every day I saw him. Great work ethic so I am sure he will work hard to get back to where he was. Just hard to see him getting in any practice this coming Spring with his being an early enrolee.

Did you not see him last year? Tore his ACL in the spring game, then returned just in time for the playoffs and led the team all the way to the state championship game. Why would this be any different? Get your head out of your arse.
I understand all of that and hope it works the same way.
My point is more if a compliment to his competition here.
Being a qb and missing your senior year is very tough. Not only does he need to come back, he would need to beat out one of the most polished hs qb's in the country once at LSU.
I feel horrible for the kid.
Did he get rolled up in or was it while he was running?

The only positive I see is that maybe this makes him more of a pocket passer so he focuses much more on improving his passing and reading of defenses.

There are a lot of weird posts on these boards. Your post is right up there with the best of them.

Are you guys insane?

This is huge and probably means he will never be in position to be a starter at qb for LSU.
quote:WTF is this shite? This guy? Replace AJ at ULL???
unfortunately, this guy will end up replacing AJ at ULL.
Reading NorthEndZone's above post about LN about him losing his father and also knowing he has already gone through one ACL injury, I imagine he is a lot more mature than most posters on the Tigerdroppings website. You're definitely included.
Do you really feel horrible for "the kid"? Seems like you didn't waste any time predicting a bleak outlook for his future football endeavors.

I understand that Brennan is a good prospect, but Narcisse's ceiling is much higher. Not to mention he is already a man, big enough to play in the SEC -- Brennan needs to add some weight, muscle, and bulk. Narcisse is listed at 6'3"/224, and he weighs even more than that now. Every time I see him he's bigger.

That doesn't exactly applies to knee injuries.....and missing game reps can only stunt a QB's development.

Well it might be telling us that Brennan and Narcisse will redshirt first year and Brennan will probably be our starter first, but Narcisse is such a man at this point it will be interesting.
Hijack!
I don't mind guys transferring, and I the the WR's left because our freshman WR get better and better. Like Dee anderson 6'5" 205 lbs. He has the speed, hops(jumps high for the lay person ), and great hands. Hard to let a guy like that sit. I think Tyron Johnson probably would have had more opportunity if he could have been patient.
But Derrick Dillon will be one of our fast quick receivers.
And watch out at CB, Donte Jackson. He is so fast that when he gets even more exp. he will be our pick six guy whatever position he plays as a DB...

LN is a full-grown man. He looks at least as big as LF did when he started college. For comparison, #48, Louis Blanchard, is 6-4 265.
