My back yard is literally up against the creek.

Here is a pic showing the back flow. It normally flows right to left, but is going left to right.

And here is how much room I have until it starts coming to my yard...

They should have prepared for the 1000 year flood event

Literally every other carrier managed to stay working. So many emergency services down here rely on AT&T too. The governor even mentioned how much it was hampering rescue efforts.

Just tried going down it a few minutes ago. Got as far as galvez primary and had to turn around. Also tried 933 but had to turn around at Paula Park. Hope this helps.

I head this morning that a lot of places were open in Watson and the roads were clear. I also saw people coming down hatchel lane but had to go left on 190. Not sure how far down Range you can get from Watson.

I can't explain that but i have a feeling that is the way it has looked for awhile.

It doesn't make sense that we have heard multiple reports of water falling everywhere along with the fact that areas around where ward's creek enters the amite have crested.

My girlfriend and I are contemplating coming back to Baton Rouge from Houston today. We've seen the closures on 10 at Lafayette, but everything else between that and BR looks clear.

She lives off of burbank near staring in the Pelican Lakes area. Her roommate was picked up last night and hasn't been back. I am off of Corporate near izzo's. Can anyone provide updates on these areas?

I'd guesstimate it's risen 6". There's a branch in the water that I'm using as a reference.. Not exactly scientific

We do have pumps in the neighborhood so it's possible the flow I'm seeing are the pumps working, but I don't hear anything and the pumps have been off this whole time. To be clear, there was zero water movement earlier this morning, so there is new movement and the water has come up a little.

Hearing from multiple people Wards creek is back flowing - this is surprising to me but indeed possible and now I am wondering if the worst backwater flooding is just happening really late. The reason I say it makes sense is because water has been rising over I10 from Manchac so it has not crested downstream of Fountain and Ward yet. This combined with hearing Santa Maria is taking on water fast gives me pause. Anyone along Ward and Fountain that can check?
