Anyone have suggestions for locating where residents of assisted living facilities in Livingston parish are being taken. My M-I-L was moved during the middle of the night and our ATT phones couldn't take calls.

It's worth noting that this depends on where you are in the relation to the river, and where your bayou empties into the river.
Correct, and the specific question I answered was related to Manchac and/or its tributaries... Probably should have clarified in my answer for people who would have just opened up that page. I'll go back and edit.

I'm coming back to LA on I-55. Has it been reopened completely?

Friend just walked to the elementary school and park right there--Jefferson Terrace in Inniswold--no water

Manchac Place I think should be fine. Not entirely familiar with swamp road flooding, but it would come from that direction and not Manchac I think.

May be a silly question at this point but does anyone know how much water Richmond Place in Watson got? Have some family that was going I ride it out and if course can't get through to them.

in the area flooded completely. I asked about info on STM earlier.
Sherwood Middle Magnet and Broadmoor High appeared to be okay when I drove past them. A lot of standing water in parking lots but nothing high enough to cause damage.
Really feel for those who lived on the opposite side of Jones Creek on Sharp Rd. A lot of people who weren't flooded at 3:30 AM are now flooded. It sucks.

Friend of mine that lives off Stony Creek just went and checked the Bayou, said it is getting really close to flooding. He is bailing out as the water level in the road has raised a little recently.

The Great Flood of 2016: Backwater Flooding Occuring (8/14/16)
I got a few inches of water starting to flow into the parking area of my townhome on Burbank near bluebonnet... starting to pool up in the back... I'm grabbing my shite and evacuating now... I'm not waiting for backflow... oak hills here I come
Good call.
The X is where this person's location is.
We have many reports of backflowing all over Bayou Fountain. I would prepare for the worst along the area.
This is the gauge I said to watch. The 12:00 Gauge reading right here is bad. I said if it started shooting up again Highland/Burbank area flooding was imminent. It is imminent now.
Here is where this gauge is located:

If it's dropping, that's good right?? It's fast but good..
It's great news. It means the crest is working its way downstream. Bad news for those south of it, but overall, it shows this is slowly coming to a close.

Just got back in from denham area.
All plantation lost. Current under range is impassable.
The interstate barriers are creating a giant water wall. It's drive on south side and 4 feet of water on the north side.
Current and whirlpools are significantly bad along the west side where water is trying to get underneath in culverts.
Was able to drive boat all the way down Forrest delatte to plantation. They are staging folks at the neighborhood wal mart at Petes hwy. buddy Ellis is dry until you reach section 8 apartments. Wet from there to 447 in Walker.
Don't know what else to say

know someone who lives near the beginning of the street, water up to their porch.
I need someone all the way on the upriver end, or at least that can get that way. I know the street should be dry.

Anyone got pictures of Jefferson Terace?
The creek that runs in the front of Jefferson Terrace continues to rise and overflow into Jefferson Terrace. The first street closest to Airline service road and Cal is the only one effected so far, and limited to the streets and not in homes.

Going to get a report of the small bridge at Cal where the bayou ends and concrete canal begins
