Can anyone tell me the best route to get to Port Fourchon from the Lafayette/Broussard area with all these road closures? TIA.

I know you aren't a fortune teller, but if my house is at 30 foot elevation about 1.5 miles from Bayou Manchac on the other side of Bluff, I should be ok in terms of water in the house provided the 21.5 crest is accurate?

Not sure what to tell you here. If hiway 90 is open that is the best route.

I am not overly familiar with Baton Rouge. I have two students who are currently dry right off I-10 near I-12. If I sent them west on 10 to 110 then up 61 to the north that appears open could they get out that way?? I am trying to get them out of harms way if possible just don't know the best way

Yeah that's how's it's been all the way down to bluebonnet. Storm drains are backed up. I'm heading down there now I'll check in after.

Bayou Fountain is in my backyard and has not overflowed yet, but the storm drains are backing up on us.
Used to own a home on Fox Run in early 00s. Built a gate and path to the Bayou. Still know some neighbors there. One older guy had just moved in before the 83 flood. Keep us posted on that hood please.

Well how could Eastgate flood and not Camelot? This means that Camelot has to be flooded, no?

If eastgate is that bad he needs to evacuate, I cant imagine Camelot being any better off. They occupy the same general area of real estate.

If you are on top of bluff I think you are good.
What neighborhood?

I lived in Shenandoah during the 83 flood which was tagged as a one in 500 year flood. None of Shenandoah had water.
I'm speaking of homes. Low areas entering and leaving flooded but no homes.

Jones Creek @ Sharp Rd BREC and @ Goodwood Blvd flowing in correct direction. It is flowing about 3 or 4 inches over bridge at Goodwood.

Manchac Place, we are way in the back almost the furthest point from Bluff Road. We are bone dry right now, no water if any kind

There's really no telling, this is unprecedented. What we do know is that river levels are rising on Ward and soon, Fountain. Clay cut and Jones have gotten it bad and we keep hearing about high waters in those areas.
Anyone got pictures of Jefferson Terace?
That is the most concerning area to me. That is at the END of Clay Cut creek, and someone reported it was flooding.
As you see right here, that means that we might be able to expect similar flooding at the end of Highland/Burbank on the Bayou Fountain when the crest reaches the proper point.

pretty much.
the eastgate areas are anywhere between 38 feet and 41 feet.
most areas in camelot are under 41 feet.
