What levee? Where is the closest cross road?

Currently flannery and goodwood is flooded. The area with the closed gas station. It is creeping up goodwood along with the impending waters from Florida/flannery. Sonny's BBQ is in water along with the neighborhood and gas station next to it.
I would rather be driving myself out and hope to stay in new Orleans, than be stuck on a boat and staying at a shelter.

I asked him which levee but he hasn't responded. I'm sure they have their hands full right now.

People are saying on twitter it was the Monticello levee? I have no clue about that though.
Is there even a levee there?

God I hope it's not at the Amite--the Amite and Comite come together right at where it crosses Florida

Just woke up and put dog out. Drove around Shenandoah. Parts of subdivison taking on water. Coming out of storm drains. Staging area at ST Michaels. The guys were shocked to hear it's flooding in our subd. The fact that I have the Cajun flotilla here scares me. Flooding appears to be all the way down Antioch to Shenandoah Elem. I am unable to leave. I live on Pine Hill. Dry still but water approaching.

If I'm going to evacuate, should I turn my breakers off? Really need an answer fast.

The safe decision considering where you live is to do whatever you need to do.

Can't see any harm in turning them off

Does anyone know about the homes on Hagerstown off of Monitor Ave?
Posted on 8/14/16 at 4:19 am to lsuman25
Here's the deal.. if you have to ask yourself if you should evacuate, just do it. This shite is so unpredictable right now, its better to be safe than sorry.. especially when sorry can leave you dead. Flooding is the #1 weather killer.
