Sort of like how Keith Jackson was, Saunders is just sorta an iconic part of the college football experience. Very sad to see him go.

Hadn't even thought about that as a possibility. For some reason that would make it extra sad, not even sure why.
In suicides they do often use vague language on purpose... but yeah I hope not.

just saw stephen a smith talking about it. normally i loathe him but he seemed very upset. he said saunders had some recurring health problems from years ago. he also said he had a fall a few years ago that has been giving him problems. maybe it was from something he never made public.

I doubt they would know anything this soon. I did notice he wasn't on the air Sunday. Caught the end of Sports Reporters and didn't see him do the parting shots.

Count me in with the many who always liked John Saunders.
After the passing of Dick Schapp ... John Saunders did a good job of hosting Sports Reporters, even though the others around him all suck.
