Thats great! frick NC. I hope they lose more shite. That new police video law stinks like rotten swamp pussy. And so do the bigots who run the state.

Good for New Orleans (if true).
Has New Orleans hosted an All-Star Game before?
We haven't and I would love for us to one day.

Yes New Orleans has. Think they did a few years ago

Two since 2008 I believe.

2008 and 14, yeah. I looked up the list. Not only has Miami hosted just one ASG (1990, at that) but it has hosted it fewer times than Orlando, even.

That and they passed some law letting cops refuse to release body cam video.

Memphis currently doesn't have the infrastructure to host one. Another reason to really hope the Tigers get in to the big 12.

And yet the NBA will still continue doing business in China where gay marriage isn't recognized and there are no anti-discrimination laws to protect the LGBT community...

I mean lets be honest a bit, this is still a corporation.
I would imagine the overwhelming majority of their reasoning for leaving rests on optics/PR over righteousness of cause.

So they hope to put the game back in Charlotte in 2019 from what I'm reading.
I'm sorry, but this is dumb.

Boy, I sure hope Walk On's stays open during the ASG if NOLA gets it. We don't need that whole discrimination mess again.

Should be in San Francisco to please the gay community

Yeah by some miracle the NBA will be lauded for this decision despite turning a blind eye to significantly worse atrocities in other places they invest.

i agree with him.
this whole thing is a joke.

Yeah I mean the letter is a little disingenuous about what the bill does in North Carolina, but his point still stands.

as usual NOLA is the best event city in the country. All Star Weekend in NOLA has been a blast the times I was there.
Sorry but Carolina getting what they deserve.

North Carolina.
The state senator who tried to push the same law here was defeated in the primary last month.

The Charlotte tourism board said the ASG was worth 100 million dollars. I'd love to see that report and all the bullshite needed to get at that inflates number.
