He came out strong in the beginning of all this and hasn't been seen or heard from in several days.

He's been securing $130 million in federal funds to begin building the first leg of a city rail network through the most storied black neighborhood in Baton Rouge. This is a massively ambitious project that could be the start of a dynamic shift in the perception of Baton Rouge and its place among cities in the region.
Kip has done what he needed to do. He made sure the officers were suspended immediately. He called community leaders to organize while preaching non-violence. He asked the feds to come down immediately to prove there were no BRPD shenanigans. Then, he went up to DC to secure massive amounts of money to improve the city's oldest black neighborhood, one of oldest such neighborhoods in the country.
I'd say he's handled this in the best way possible. His detractors wouldn't know good governance if it arrested and jailed them overnight before stiffing them with a fine.

Pimpin hoes, what he does best
Posted on 7/10/16 at 4:48 pm to shawnlsu
Just where he needs to be. Out of the picture and letting law enforcement make the decisions

Hands down Kip Holden is the best mayor BR has ever had. We're going to really miss him a year from now regardless of who the next mayor is whether it be Sharon Broome or John Delgado.
