Fantastic review.

I cannot wait for the How Did This Get Made segment on this show.

It sounds like it confirms what they have been trying to shield the entire time - this is simply a bad movie

Glad I got to see this before Sony has it removed

It will probably be a bad movie, but:

'They weren't in on the joke in the original'

Is he fricking serious?

I predict it will have a higher rottentomatoes rating than Batman vs superman.....but not by much

I find Melissa McCarthy hysterical in Bridemaids, Heat, and Spy, all of her previous collaborations with Paul Feig. So I really wanted to like this movie. But the first trailer just ruined me on it, primarily due to Leslie Jones. Then the reaction by liberals to the genuine negative criticism of the trailers further ruined me on it. So now I want this movie to fail so badly that everyone involved, except for Chris Hemsworth, sees their career ruined. I want this to be to those involved what Cut Throat Island was to Gena Davis (destroyed her career permanently - look it up).

I hope this movie tanks so hard

Well, that review was both satisfying and a little infuriating.

The trailers were bad. But what really tipped me off were the 2-4 commercials on tv like the insurance one (the one with flo). I feel as if they're trying to preemptively pad their losses because they know it will tank.

The cast is awesome. McCarthy does her very best well-mannered-but-exasperated Everywoman here, and the dialogue includes bits of ‘polite women dithering’ that are truly hilarious. Wiig is at her best, Jones is a revelation, Chris Hemsworth is a wonderful surprise in the movie and Kate McKinnon steals the show. They’re all weirdly endearing, too, and it has nothing to do with nostalgia.

Jones, McCarthy, McKinnon, and Wiig are so good together — and in ways that are distinctively theirs and not recycled from the past — that their message of not giving a damn resonates better than the movie’s underwhelming climax. Saving the world and reliving memories of the older film isn’t the interesting part of Ghostbusters. The interesting part is in how these characters bounce off of one another along the way, these brilliant, awkward, hilarious women who come to find they need affirmation only from one another.
