this will still make a shite ton of money. you get the young people plus the minorities plus old school older people who dont know better.

combine that with the fact that this is also one of the worst summer movie seasons ever, and wouldnt surprise me if it made over 70/80 million first week

i listen to a lot of podcasts from critics from vanity fair and other publications and they are all raging libs and feminists. you think for a second they are going to rip this movie with all the backlash recently?

Not impossible that they just liked the movie.

After seeing the trailers, I think people who have never seen a movie before would hate this movie. I am utterly convinced that the only people who will claim to have liked this movie will be doing so only with an agenda in mind.

Stole as in took a potentially good movie experience away from paying customers?

Well, a different agenda than yours anyway.

I have no agenda. I just want good movies. This does not look like a good movie. This looks like a pandering ploy to women in the worst possible way, by forcing diversity rather than allowing diversity to occur naturally. The characters are characatures rather than real people. It is an agenda that anything with men is evil and horrid and that women are just as funny as men. The latter may be true, but this is not the means of proving it. This film, by itself will likely be such a flop that it will set women back 40 years in Hollywood.

I think SJW's have to like it.

But that isn't all of them. . .some people are Melissa McCarthy groupies. I mean, Tammy got some good reviews, too

And of course, every movie has someone who likes it. Like the 1 in 10 that liked Fantastic Four.

I am curious as to how SJW's reconcile the sterotyping

I'm not a MRA, or an alt-righter, or even a rider on the Trump Train. I like Hillary and I support BLM. So I guess that makes me a dreaded SJW.

However, this movie looks like a terrible, crass marketing ploy (like most blockbusters tbh) and I don't plan on seeing it.

The casting of an all female cast is obviously to Justify the idea of remaking it in the first place .... Why would they try to reinvent the wheel with an exact remake and recasting of the male leads? They need an angle. Makes total sense For the studio - proven director, formula and cast. Now whether or not it's any good is the question

Well people like to keep their jobs.

I'd only listen to some independent blogger on this who isn't connected to some news service that is connected to a conglomerate corps that financed this movie.

This reviewer gets it...

One starts to get the same feeling one had watching The Amazing Spider-Man a few years ago: why are we telling this story again, just with different people and a few remixed aspects?

That's really the worst thing about this...it's just another crappy remake that Hollywood has been doing regardless of the all-female cast or SJW script.

Were their jobs not on the line when they trashed The Boss, which was led by females and was written in part by Melissa McCarthy?

If the reviews suck for this film, of course they did, because the film sucks. If they're good, it's because people are afraid for their jobs if they give a poor review of a female-led film.

One of the reviews said "Leslie Jones is a revelation."

Seriously? A revelation? There's nothing unique about her, NOTHING. She's fat, loud, and black! Really breaking the stereotypes!!!
