A friend brought me some from Louise, MS. This stuff is great. Some of the best wings I've ever had. He told me you can order it online so I'm gonna have to order some more. Anybody else ever tried it?

I've never heard of Hoover sauce. Sounds like it would suck.

Surely I can't be the only one to know about this stuff?

Can you show a pic of it on some food? Is this a marinad or condiment?

Did you cook the wings with the sauce on them, or apply sauce after cooking?

The makers are pretty particular who they have sell this product. Made in kind of small batch(or at least it used to be that way). I got some at a BBQ shop in Alambama.

It looks like Worcestershire. What does it taste like? I've never seen or heard of this stuff.

It tastes like it has a soy sauce base to it, with something sweet mixed in.

I marinated the wings in the sauce and then finished them on the grill. I drizzled a little extra sauce on them afterwards.

I've used it for years as a wild game marinade and in finishing/dipping sauces. Good stuff!

It's a staple in the South Delta, created by a Chinese man with a southern drawl, but no longer made in the back of his store anymore. The government stepped in because they didn't have an ingredients list or nutritional info on the label... Now it's mass produced. Same ingredients in a new bottle... Some people claim it's a little different, but I can't tell.

I'm going to use it on some pork tomorrow. Its too much for me as a dipping sauce. I use it as kind of a carrying agent for other seasoning... Spread just enough to help my dry seasonings stick to the meat and it gives it a nice little flavor.

soy/hoison are the main ingredients. It's pretty easy to replicate. Good stuff though.

A little off topic, but what about white Alabama BBQ sauce? Had never heard of that before, but saw some recipes for it this past weekend. Is that stuff any good?

White BBQ sauce is very good, especially on chicken. You can find Big Bob Gibson's at most grocery stores in Alabama, he is attributed with creating it several years ago. I dont have a recipe but it is essentially mayo, vinegar and a lot of black pepper.

Next time you make a homemade pizza use white bbq sauce as your base and top with smoked chicken, bacon, and jalapeños
