We need another 4/5 on that roster getting backup minutes instead of DC and I would say another 3 besides Babbitt. Possibly another ball handler.

Absolutely must get another PF.

I agree I would definitely start Moore to start the season at least and let buddy get his feet wet before throwing him into the starting lineup

Inglis probably

Though we should be able to get a PF, maybe Thomas Robinson. But with a few teams persuing him, idk if he will fit in our cap.

I'm hoping to get Vucevic somehow and then sign Jared Sullinger

Holiday/Frazier/Douglas
Hield/Moore
Hill/Pondexter/Cunningham/Inglis
Davis/Sullinger/Diallo
Vucevic/Ajinca

I don't know where people think Evans is going. I think we'll end up looking something like this..

Holiday/FA/Frazier
Hield/Moore
Evans/QP
Davis/Hill
Asik/Ajinca

I don't think it really matters past the first 10 or so guys. We need another PG and maybe another PF. Hill is a good small ball 4 and will get tons of minutes there. Evans might want to be a PG, but he thrives as a starter and its dumb for either your 2nd or 3rd best player to come off the bench. They'll just have to make it work somehow..

I read somewhere that Hill was promised a starting spot, almost assuredly going to start at the 3.

Tyreke may start at the 2, but with the current construct of this team he's probably slotted as the backup PG. The team is built well to have a second unit with Tyreke, Moore, Qpon, and Cunningham.

How are the Pels going to sign a FA PG while keeping Frazier and Tyreke?

AD is gonna play 38 mins a night but I still think we need one more serviceable big man to have a healthy rotation

Evans is the 2nd best player on the team. I just don't understand how we would better with him off the bench. We just have to find a way to mesh him and Holiday together, still. Hield will have to fit in there as well, along with Moore. But he will and should start.

I'd love to go with a small ball line-up with Hill at PF and Davis at Center. Which I think they will do alot of, but probably not as starters..

Well if what John Reid says is true Jrue apparently liked coming off the bench so Tyreke would start if that's the case

That is just a fact. He is a bad fit, but he is the 2nd best player. Holiday is a better distributor and defender. But Evans is a better playmaker and just a force of nature. If you compare their career numbers, Evans edges him out.

Evans has started his whole career, except for 50 games when we tried the "experiment" of him leading the 2nd unit. It was a dumb idea and failed miserably. He put up the worst numbers of his career and the team was bad. I don't know why everybody keeps thinking it is a great idea (bench a starter, cut his minutes and play him at strange intervals). But it just doesn't work that way. Plus it kills his trade value, if we plan to get rid of him. Its just not going to happen..

If we don't trade him before the season I'd rather just let him play it out and get his best on his contract year

He has not shown he can play in a high pace, ball movement system optimally and he hasn't proven he can mentally buy in and handle not starting and taking on an Iggy/Manu type role.

That is the issue with Evans that we have right now. It is also why I would not say he is the 2nd best player on this team. Because on the opposite end you have Jrue that has both bought in and had success in multiple roles: off the bench, starting, main facilitator, secondary facilitator.

You start Evans and you are likely hurting synergy based on history. You put him on the bench and you risk another disgruntled Evans creating issues.

Lol he played 20 games in the system on one knee of course he hasn't shown anything.

Tyreke played as scorer at sg, played a facilitator at pg, played at the wing as sf, and came off the bench.
