LSU NT Davon Godchaux for Baylor QB Jarrett Stidham

Why it makes sense for LSU: Brandon Harris made strides this spring, but he has never looked as good as Stidham did when he passed for 1,265 yards, 12 touchdowns and two interceptions last year. He took over as Baylor's starter after seven games, so he had plenty of big-game experience as a freshman. LSU also has plenty of depth in the middle of its defensive line to replace Godchaux by committee. With the points LSU will now be scoring, it won't need a Godchaux.

Why it makes sense for Baylor: Dominant defensive tackles are hard to find and Godchaux would walk right into the Bears' starting lineup after recording six sacks and nine tackles for loss as a sophomore. Andrew Billings' departure will hurt the Bears in a major way in 2016, but the addition of Godchaux, despite the loss of a promising, young signal-caller in Stidham, will help lessen the loss. Now new head coach Jim Grobe has someone to build Baylor's defense around.

In a world where this was allowed, would you make this trade?

I'd like to keep Godchaux. I'd offer LaCouture and Dwayne Thomas for Stidham

What's more surprising is the Tim Williams trade. Though he's a good player he mainly benefited from that incredible front line

How about we trade ESPN for a network that understands sports

Only way i'd make the trade, is if we would inherit the playbook as well.

Yea, Harris would throw for 4000 yards at Baylor.

I have belief in Harris. I think he's ready and I want the best defense we can have. Trade declined.

Bad logic. Harris would probably blow up in Baylor's system. The problem is Xs and Os, not Jims and Joes.

Seriously? Do y'all think Briles just had an eye for talent on like 5 3 stars in a row that no one else saw?

His coaching, baylors playbook, and big 12 offenses are all just as big a reason as talent for baylors offensive success, if not more so.

This is like someone in the NBA paying huge money for a Cavs, Spurs, or Warriors role player. A lot of times players only look as good as they do bc they're in a great situation

Yea I'd take that. Their QB has unreal talent, never watched Stidham play but anyone can throw for a lot of yards at Baylor.

frick no. Godchaux may very well be our best devinsive player. He is unquestionably our best DL.
