I have virtually ZERO hands on time with any iPhone or Apple products... But couldn't pass up Sprint's BOGO promotion.
Been with Android since the Original HTC EVO (2008/2009-ish?)
What am I in store for?

most of it is the same concepts. you don't get to install cool widgets, clocks or arrange your screen the way you want to.
it's a wash for me right now. when i'm up for renewal i'm probably going back to android.

You'll be fine once you adjust. Certain things work better. Depending on your prior phone, you might welcome the availability of accessories. Arguably iPhone has higher quality apps.
I've switched back and forth several times. I prefer Android, but I could live just fine with an iPhone.
Of course, you should probably get your credit card and password tattooed on an appendage because the App Store is very concerned about your privacy and you'll be needing to verify your information about every 6 minutes.

At least wait till the new Google phone makes its debut. Apple products are designed for your typical stay at home housewife.

I've had both and currently have the S7 Active but wtf do some of you do with your phones that iPhone hinders your use?

Got to the store and ask.
iPhone has features that Andriod doesn't, that and better quality.
The Samsung S7 Active looks pretty sweet.

You see, I actually use my Windows phone to conduct business. VoIP functionality is a must when I work from home and need to access ADdocs, spreadsheets, SQL databases, ect, ect on my companies VPN. The IOS platform doesn't have this functionality since the OS isn't LINUX based.

I have iPhones, but my kids have android tablets. IMO, the apple products just work better, and are less of a pain in my arse to deal with. Some would consider me a step above a retard tho, so take it with a grain of salt.

Any tech savvy person with an IQ over 65 will not like an iPhone

I have an android device and am underwhelmed. The times I've used an Iphone I've been favorably impressed, and will get one when I replace the phone I'm currently using.

TBH, all that shite annoys me. I just want all my apps in one place in alphabetical order.

Content blockers are natively supported as of iOS 9, no rooting or specialized browsers required.

So your great argument for android is that it allows you to steal content from its creators?

Ok, being able to change how your device looks and runs can be fun and in some cases legitimately advancing users experience, but it can also cause devices to function poorly and become susceptible to malware.

frick iTunes, but most users don't interact with iTunes anymore, it exists as a sort of safety net.
Fundamentally, Android and iOS are closer than they have been in years. The simplicity and ease of use that was emblematic of the original release of iOS has been obscured by the many useful(ish) features that have been added in the decade since its introduction. Android meanwhile has always been saddled with performance issues and full of some concepts that were clearly half-baked when shipped, which has since been systematically improved.
The biggest difference between android and iOS that has always existed is that a brand new iPhone 6S will get updates till at least 2020, which is unfortunately not the same for android users. And before calling me a fanboy, I do have multiple iOS and Android devices and have come to a startling conclusion, a smartphone is just a smartphone.
TL;DR It's a phone that looks a bit different have fun doing basically the same things you used to do with small differences here and there.

You're missing the point. Ad away blocks ads in apps as well as in the browser. You can't do that without root regardless of phone.

If Android didn't exist as a viable alternative to iOS the smartphone world would be a miserable place.
Having Android breathing down their neck forces Apple to match features and push innovation.
